So it's not truly 'realistic', but what game is? I have yet to see a game that makes you take the time to load bullets into a clip or one that makes it hard for your character to walk if he hasn't taken a leak in a while. Most games have you suck weapons and ammo into your pockets/backpack through your feet.

Yes there was. Grenades have been used in warfare longer than muskets and pistols. But up until the mid 19th century (1800s) they used fuses and resembled baseball sized steel cherry bombs.

I have this same game on PC but I can't get it to play the other missions. I also can't seem to talk with my fellow soldiers nor change to a union troop. I try using the controls but nothing happens.

They found dead soldiers with two and three musket balls in the barrel. Apparently in the fog of war, fear gripping them, and in a panic would load multiple times before they shot. This could be the reason for their deaths I would imagine.

gogo, it didnt take them 10 minutes to reload, like helo said a good soldier could get a couple rounds off a minute and yes they still stood in lines like retards but they were also fighting guerilla warfare as well hiding behind cover, moving up in squads, one covers the other especially in the Wilderness

If you want a good old school shooter game buy Call of Duty World at War. There's only about 15 missions but the online on it is intense and there's never any problems joining a room full of people. Up to 18 players online.

i agree with you tin in most part..but this game is more into what Civil War was all about and how frustrating it is to kill someone using a musket haha and the way you have to put powder and load it everytime you shoot, and how it's hard to hit an enemy at a certain yards make the game much more fun and funny in my oppinion. Besides it gives you a chance to feel what a confederate soldier is back in the days haha..it's like reading a book, minus the boredom and lackness of fun.

Yes. This guy doesn't use the sniper rifles which are the best part. There's a lot of other guns you can choose from and the grenades rock, they blow guys like ten feet into the air.

AI is pretty smart (for an FPS), they hide behind cover a lot, and they pop up at different angles so you can't expect them to just stand up into your crosshair and be an easy kill.

I agree, the reloading is definitely too fast. They did this so the game would not be boring for kids with short attention spans but it hurts the historical accuracy which is why most people are buying this game for anyway. But it's a tough balancing act: fun vs. accuracy.
