  • Thanks Ed! Slow and steady wins the race in this one!

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

  • You're still doing great in both the restoration department and the how-to arena. It's much appreciated.

    BTW...have a terrific Thanksgiving.

    Regards,

    John

  • Thanks John, I will be starting those bakelight block rebuilds very soon, probably next week.. I'm going to order some wire becasue the wire is frayed for the speaker connections. No sense of repairing it sense it will probably fray somewheres else. Did you notice this radio doesn't use a plug for the speeaker wiring. Thanks again for the encouraging woird! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving too!

  • Before it's over you'll come across more than one vintage radio that has no speaker plug. My daughter's 1934 Sparton Model 67 has no plug. It was sometimes a gentle wrestling match, but I was able to restore it without disconnecting the wires.

    Regards,

    John

  • What chu talking about Willis? Before whats over? My life? Or is it the end of the world in 2012 your talking about?

    LOL!

  • Good old ACE. Looks really good. It is so great to take lots of pictures now we have digital cameras.

  • Rick, 21 videos and I've barely made a dent in this. The shadow meter took a lot of work and these little things like o-rings and tuner supports are simple, yet take time. Hopefully next week I can get the tuner secure, test the drive mechanism out for operation and then start on the electronics! Digital cameras are so great because it's all there in black and white, I mean all there in color!

  • very nice pix indeed, that cap looks like I did it! HA

  • I have faith that you would be a neat nik in the cap soldering dept.
