I got this app today... It works amazinglly.... My phone dosent have a frount camera though so i can only use the back but appart from that i can use everything else .. Its so cool
I set this up on my phone, but when I went to the website and tried to do stuff for my phone, nothing actually happened. No SMS pop-up, no taking any pictures, no text to speech--nothing, even though the site was saying it was doing something.
@psfan3000 I am not the developer of the app, so I don't know for sure what is and isn't possible. You can read his FAQ on his website... but, there needs to be some sort of data connection for the app to send you emails (location, status, etc). If there is no data connection at the time the device is stolen or misplaced, the messages will be held and sent if/when it is turned on and connected to WiFi or something.
ok look am trying sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HARD but i dont know how to set it up
wow i went to the web site and i have i dont know how u set it up like when i go on it says i need to log in first but am already log in (can u help me about this)
ok i got a problem with my androidlost. i allready download it and it was workig good but now i cant use it. every time when i do something from my computer to the phone it never does it. and i think it is because i need the application-specific passwords but i cant put it on my app because i hide it on my phone when it was still working. what can i do.
@Luka1180 Yes I am! I have professional equipment that I use for voiceovers, but to stay true to the way I started making my Droid videos, I use TapeMachine on my DroidX (hopefully Droid Bionic soon) to record the voice track. It really is an amazing mobile recording app. ;)
Leaving the GPS "on" doesnt use any battery. The "Use Wireless Networks" and "Use GPS Satellites" are permission settings. These settings ONLY allow/disallow applications to either use wireless networks and/or GPS to get the device location. These settings do not actually turn on or off any hardware, therefore is does not save any battery. So leaving "Use Wireless Networks" and "Use GPS Satellites" on does NOT affect battery life, it is just permission for apps to get your location.
@imasycko I believe you are incorrect. There is a huge difference between "allowing" apps to use the GPS for location and "activating" the GPS radio. Just as you can enable/disable your Bluetooth radio, WIFI radio, and even the 3G/4G radio, you can disable the GPS radio. If it is enabled, everytime you open your browser or any app that uses a (fine) location intent, the radio and phone are busy trying to accurately pinpoint your location. That uses battery.
@chr0nicForc3 If there is no signal (wifi, data, sms) then you'd be out of luck until there is signal again. There wouldn't be any app that could help you in that situation. Look at all of the information on AndroidLost(dot)com under GUIDE and FAQ; the developer has laid out pretty much every possible scenario.
@abjaggu According to the developer, if a thief changes the SIM card you will be notified by email. You can still locate the device by GPS and send SMS controls to lock the phone, etc. Check out the "Guide" section at his website AndroidLost(dot)com.

I want to use this for my tablet. Will it work if I don't get wifi in a certain area but have my GPS on on my tablet?

I think for some questions it would be best to ask the developer or check the FAQ on their website. I'm sorry that I don't have all the answers.
