Im curious about these Videos! I am definitely a late chronotype. My teachers in school all said the same thing. You are so bright but you just don't apply yourself. All my early classes were horrible... didn't matter what subject. In my afternoon classes I was an A-B student. The same translated into the real world. My first job lasted 3 months because i had to be there at 7am. My next job's schedule put me in at 3pm to 11pm. I worked there 14 years and became a Manager for more than 5. Thanks
I took my wonder of the world to college years ago, and found they tried to kill it, so I left. I don't have a degree, but I am 59 now and have lived my life listening to my own drummer, and curiosity has been my greatest joy.Every day is full of new wonders.
On advice from a friend we purchased a magnifying glass for our 2yo for the very same reason. Ken Robinson believes school systems kill creativity, perhaps curiosity could be added to the list as well.
What a valuable lesson little Professor Medina can teach us all. I could be Little Prof Medina's grandpa, and i'm just now re-learning the lesson of curiosity. It does seem that my experience with schools, institutions, and corporations is that they do their best to stifle individual curiosity. I recall observing 2 exceptionally intelligent kids in 3rd and 5th grade classes who used to secretly masturbate in class, because their intellectual curiosities were so suppressed. We need your work!
You know, once I saw a beautiful butterfly sitting on a leaf, I stopped, considered it and then went on eating a bologna sandwich, on a mountain top.
