Expected this to be horrible, but he did the song justice. Glad to see he didn't have to try and put his own spin on it, just sang it like it should be.

After analyzing the way george straits version. I personally think no one can make a better rendition. I tried to sing it the way george did it and did it every kind of way and found out his style sounded the best. This is with an ear for slight variation in timing pronounciation and tune.

actually these are the songwriters of this song Terry Stafford and Paul Fraser, and recorded by Stafford in 1973. George Strait just covered it. And Taylor Swift makes her money because shes a great songwriter. And she's like what 16 she got plenty of time to become a better singer she's got more money than all of us anyway so what does it matter ya know.

Although KING GEORGE IS WAY BETTER i can't say that i "hate" alan jackson. He's actually in my 3rd favorite of all singers of any genre, with George being # 1, Brooks & Dunn at #2 Alan Jackson at #3 and Reba at #4. Plus he's not that new to the game, he's actually been around for like 20 years. Granted that's not nearly as long as KING George, but he's still got a little bit of time and experience with him.

@Snowcrossqueen alan jackson is not a new singer he's been around for a long time actually. granted not as long as KING GEORGE, but he's not new to the game. and im pretty sure he lives on a ranch dont know if thats a fact but i do know he's form georgia. i think he's currently living in nashville though.

Although KING GEORGE IS WAY BETTER i can't say that i "hate" alan jackson. He's actually in my 3rd favorite of all singers of any genre, with George being # 1, Brooks & Dunn at #2 Alan Jackson at #3 and Reba at #4. Plus he's not that new to the game, he's actually been around for like 20 years. Granted that's not nearly as long as KING George, but he's still got a little bit of time and experience with him.

Kenny does the job vocally, however I understand those of you that say it is Georges song, because he as well as Chris Ledoux (RIP), sang it and have lived it. Might as well have Miley Cyrus sing Falsom Prison Blues. If you havent lived this song, it should not be sung by you,.......but Kenny nailed the Vocals I agree.
