Wow this is absolutely amazing. I have watched all the process of this countless times and am watching you on DA, you have a really beautiful way of drawing. I would love some tips maybe on how to practice to get better :)
I also was wondering what it is the size of the canvas was?
Daamn i shouldnt watch this. Everytime I watch amazing speed paintings like that I feel so horrible, knowing taht I have to make a portfolio to enter in a certain school.
I love this video! <3 xD Sorry. Uhm, I don't know if you are so willing to answer this, but how do you get the brushes to be so smooth? As in like, the pressure (Like, the faster and lighter you mouse the mouse/tablet pen the smoother and lighter it will appear on the screen) ? Honestly, I have no idea what to call it, so that's my best description. Or is it because you have a tablet, or a better version of SAI? I feel as if I am being annoying -_-; Sorry if I am! D:
@Eclipticalshadow nah, it's definitely the works of a tablet. No mouse in a world could do something like that... unless japan starts making something like that. XD everyone's sai program is the same unless you add custom brush tools... so... yeah, pretty much it.
i subbed.. THIS IS AWESOME!!! everybody shows coloring some line art they traced.. but to do your own line art is completely different.. it came out very crisp and clean..
Thank you for putting this up! I almost feel that if I watch this over a few times, some talent will rub off on me... *fav*
So Paint Tool Sai... would you say it's better than photoshop for drawing and coloring? Also, does it have any layers? Or do you just have to be very precise with your erasing? @A@|||
Thanks [smile]. Talent is just a saying. It's all about practice and patience. I was a horrible artist when I started out =_=
I'd say work on Paint Tool Sai if all you want is to draw. It's brushes are SUPER smooth and easy to handle compared to Photoshop. However, for effects, it's very limited.
There are layers in Sai...me drawing this on one layer was just something I wanted to try out. And, it took me 2 hours non-stop to do the line art haha
Excuse me, but is there a reason why you did the lineart brown instead of black? Or is it just a personal preferance?

@animekittykittygirl Do not tell someone what to call THEIR video. That's rude!
Secondly, they are drawing, not 'painting'. Hense drawing - Lineart. Colouring - Painting.

@Eclipticalshadow when double clicking the tool you need, you cans et the smoothness properties, the one I personally love is S-4.
