We had excellent teams in the late 90's and early 2000's, as well as the run in 2008. Beating Roy in game 7's back to back years in the Western Conference Finals is nothing to scrub your nose at. The stars were great and definetly deserved the cup in 1999.

Im a huge Stars fan but I had to miss this game because I was at my sister's High School Grad. I was on the phone every 20 minutes to get updates. The previous game that Modano won in OT that ended up 1-0 was one of the best games I ever watched. I have this game on tape aswell as that one. I knew the outcome but I watched the OT and some highlights. Looked like a great game aswell. Helluva series.Everytime I see this clip I hope Cote turns around and takes Arnott and the outcome changes.Ahwell.

The Rangers are really the only team in the division that has just failed at rebuilding. Although the Isles haven't done much this decade, they still acquired some very good players (losing a number of them thanks to Milbury the Moron).
i find it weird how the devils-wings have almost no rivalry. since 95, both teams have the highest winning percentage and i think they both have the most cups in that span. i never knew that the devils were that good, and im proud to be a fan of that team :D

I felt your pain in 2001. Put it this way, Stars in 2000 and Devils in 2001 were the last two teams to properly defend the cup. since then the defending champions either lost in the first round or, didn't make the playoffs. that also goes for my devils in 04 when philly beat us in round 1. dallas is looking good so far as of right now though

That is true! I'm a die hard devil fan since 1994 when I was first introduced to Hockey at the age of 8. I will admit that they aren't the same as they used to be. The defensive intimidation is no longer there, the threatening offense is gone, we only have Marty. Wings are still top, Avalanche roard back to life...hockey is hockey and no team stays the best forever

I felt your pain in 2001. Put it this way, Stars in 2000 and Devils in 2001 were the last two teams to properly defend the cup. since then the defending champions either lost in the first round or, didn't make the playoffs. that also goes for my devils in 04 when philly beat us in round 1. dallas is looking good so far as of right now though

TXHorns, then you know how I felt when Hejduk of the Avs just missed tying Game 7 of the conference finals in the dying minutes of that game (after, I believe, the Avs were down 2 or 3-0 in that game) - I think Hejduk hit the post. I think pretty much every fan of every team in the NHL has those moments when your guy hits the post of "why us, why did it have to be us."
Just part of hockey, happens to the best of them. GO AVS!
