  • How many times did they change the oil during all this testing?????????? Curious.

  • Best truck on the market. Reliable, extremely low maintenance, best on gas, looks great, comfort is the best etc etc etc....... If you are going to spend 40,000...get a Ford if you want your moneys worth.

  • @divisioneight It does not require high octane

  • Overall a good video...I did chuckle a few times throughout the video due to word stumbling or word phrasing...but you did a good job talking about the ecoboost.

  • very nice truck and you sold me on it. but DAMNIT you;re such a fucking salesman.

  • Love my 2012 4x4 F-150 Lariat w/ Ecoboost.. So far 95% city driving getting around 16 MPG and I like to hit the throttle.. We had a little ice earlier this month and I couldn't get it to slip so I left it in 2WD... Was hoping to test the 4x4 out..

  • Ford makes a good truck i tell you that.

  • He never told us how much gas he used from the highway to the ford lot??? Didn't he say he would

  • really, such a beautiful truck

  • Does the EcoBoost engine require premium octane gas to run the turbo?

  • i want this truck so bad...unfortunately. in colombia they only sell it with the base interior package.... not nice.. for a 45.000 thousand dollar car . here.

  • hey gtp02 just to clarify something the Lariat is pronounced Lari-yact! good video!

  • @grimmss1 never heard it pronounced like that

  • Nerd

  • @Semperfi2america oh ya it is :)

  • You forgot to mention one part of the tourtue test. The part where they loaded a trailer with 9,000 lbs on a hill with a 10% Grade (or something like that) and it beat out the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500. The Ecoboost destroyed the competitions bigger V8's in 0-60 and the overall race to the finishline. During the Baja test they also skipped the last checkpoint to fill up fuel cause the engine was buring less fuel then needed and still performing amazingly.

  • @jeffchadrick ecoboost main things is towing thats why they made it i think but i haven't herd anything bad about it only thing is i have a 6.2L and people say its more powerfull but im pretty sure the eco boost should beat my truck off the line cuzz of the twin turbo and with eco boost u save alot of gas the 6.2L is alot of gas if you like to hammer it alot :p

  • Do they still make these available with a column shifter?

  • @desertfox2020 Yes I think if you get it on the XLT/FX2/FX4 trim packages. (not the luxury packages) Check out Ultimate Adventures 2011 Vid they have a Blue XLT 4x4 with the coloumn shifter.

  • Awesome video thank you for all the info and test drive! She's beautiful!

  • Got one. Great truck. However average in town is 15mpg and highway is 20. Don't believe the hype.

  • @ArizonaMMJ my dad has a ram with the 5.7 and it makes 21 mpg averaged between city and highway....

  • is this a 4x4? because I'm not sure if i should spend the extra money for a 4x4 when it rarely snows where i live, and id go offloading, but not a lot

  • did anyone eles see that orange lambo close to the end

  • @myskman1 It was a porsche, boxter to be exact.

  • @myskman1 I think it was a porsche.

  • I have one. This truck is just plan awesome! I walked by a Hemi without any problems what's so ever. My neighbor will never race me again. Actually, he's mad at me right now. What a baby!

  • 365hp is very unimpressive for a twin turbo v6

  • 11 people want a ecoboost but they have a chevy

  • You're very professional! I found this to be highly informative and engaging! Too bad I have a 2005 F-150 XL, but this Eco boost is truly remarkable!

  • the thirst of a v6 with the thrust of a v8....so you're saying that the thirst of a v6 is only 1 mpg better than a v8?

  • Please! ...It sounds like you are reading a bedtime story to a 4 year old...Come on FORD get REAL we are paying 10 times more for GASOLINE so where is the jump in gas mileage not the bump from 18 to 23mpg.....that is like spitting watermellon seeds at a dude with a .357 staring back at you!

  • Hey everybody what's goin onnnnnn

  • super impressed! cant wait to get mine

  • what is your position at Ford?? if your a salesman then its nice to see a salesman who knows their stuff. =)

  • Awesome review! You know your Ford stuff, which makes a great review, I hate people who review truck's and aren't even sure about the engine size/transmission, and know nothing much about trucks!

  • Anyone know how much this would be compared to the xlt Ecoboost?

  • instead of explaining the torture test, you could have just simply put up a link for the videos

  • Comment removed

  • u stick a twin turbo system on a dodge ram 3.7L u would see the same results prolly better

  • @BTTheus77 IS THAAAAT SOOOO. lol. Alot of work went into this fanboy. Just cant give credit where its due..like alot. Thats sad.

  • @wascash i love ford i love dodge more but facts are facts

  • It is available in the xl base model!

  • 160,000 is nothing. I drive a truck with 340,000 and counting. I have no doubt in driving it everyday.

  • Dude you sound like a cross between the motor week dude and Grover!

  • This guy sounds like he's selling a pickup on Sesame Street...and the flashers sounds like the timer on Jeopardy. But I love the truck...

  • I wonder if ford or dodge will build somthing that will keep up with the 6.2 chevy half ton

  • @Mctsep ya the base model ford fiesta is direct competition.

  • Interesting engine,but i go for a V8 any day.In Sweden the current fuelprice is 2$ per litre,but a V8 is a V8 !!!!

  • Hmmm Texas. Always gotta have the A/C blasting.

  • so this engine aside whats up with the raptor frames bending?

  • Hey everybody whats goin on.....

  • Ok the eco boost engine is great and all but I'd rather have a big V8 under the hood and 24mpg on the highway shit I can get almost get that in my 2011 dodge ram sport the best truck period

  • could also be named as ego boost

  • About towing: "...and this has been PROVEN....". Are you an idiot? All the manufacturers can tow what they say they can, or it would be fraud, a crime. The towing has little to do with the "amazing" engine. Gearing, brakes, frame and transmission all play a role. The tundra has similar power, but tows far less, proving me correct. You are welcome. Also, work on not purposefully inflecting your voice...iT iS sILLy.

  • The red exterior looks wimpy and girlish come one FORD!

  • Does anyone know if Ford will put that ecoboost into a lighter weight vehicle like the Ford Ranger Hoorah (HUA) edition?

  • hey look at kyles profile the mustang boss 302 is back! go see it

  • @12345678993879 Already seen it, due to 1) Kyle and I are friends and I watch all his latest videos whenever they come out, and 2) I WORK FOR FORD...haha so I'm around the new BOSS and GT500 Mustangs whenever they come in.

  • @GrandPrixGTP02 good luck ill subcribe :)

  • @GrandPrixGTP02 yeah, i work at ford too, and i seen one boss that had the road key and a trac key, that changed performance of the engine by swapping keys, pretty neat.

  • @GrandPrixGTP02 you work for ford? That's awesome! The Crown Victoria (and other Panthers) are my favorite cars. It'd be cool to see a V6 EcoBoost in that car... it's too bad they shut down the STAP. EcoBoost seems to have Great performance and great fuel economy, but also being quiet yet good sounding.

I started a petition to have Ford continue making the Panthers for at least fleet buyers on ipetitions(dot)com/petition/stap2012plus

  • man u have a cool job

  • Nice videos! Were you inspired by Saabkyle04? Yours kinda have a different twist, I like it!

  • @mmz77 Kyle and him are cool dont say you hate my friend kyle :(

  • @12345678993879 No kyle is a great person. I was the one who recommended he put engine spec annotation in his reviews. Sure enough he did! Awesome.

  • @mmz77 yeah your right :D

  • @mmz77 Very much so. Kyle has been an inspiration for many ppl like me, but a big target for flamers as well. Typical Youtube crowd, just don't know when to shut up and move on when they don't like something.

  • I agree with that 4.9 comment

  • Beating the reliability of the 4.9L I-6 is going to be a tough challenge. I've had three of those that the engine far outlasted the rest of the truck.

  • i rode in a 5.4 2010 XLT and i thought it had some balls. can't wait to test drive one.

  • Take the Ecoboost engine, put that in a 1970's F-150 and you'd get at least 30 mpg maybe more because it weighs A LOT less. If ford shed some more weight somehow, the fuel economy crunch would be a non issue.

  • This truck is really nice, I just dont like any engine that has anything less than 8 cylinders..i understand the ecoboost has gobs of torque, but i dont like 6 cylinders

  • I tow a 10,000 pound water trailer with my 2001 f-150 with the 4.6 triton The tranny has 212k miles and the the engine has about 90k.. Best truck series ever made.

  • you gotta face it FORDS the best at what it does, TRUKS!, but it seems that now GM and RAM got there work cut out!

    ha good luck with that!

  • If ford put 150K miles on the engine in 400 hours, they would have been doing

375 MPH. I don't think so. Do the math. This is just more ford bullshit!

  • @95silverado

    dyno for the most part

  • @falaqdad15 If they did it on a dyno, it had to be turning 10,700 RPM. I base this on the fact that my truck

is turning 2K at 70MPH, He says Ford put 150K on the engine in 400 hours, so the engine still had to be

spinning fast enough to do 375 MPH. A NASCAR engine won't hold together at those kind of RPMS for

500 miles, so do you think that a Ford or any other brand of engine would hold up to that? They either spun the hell out of it or drove at 375MPH for 400hrs. either way it did'nt happen

  • "Hey everybody, Whats goin on?" gotta love that line

  • nice vid

!! i like this view better because now we can see the road also... that was a bit sad it wasnt on the other test drives!

  • and one last thing, my Uncle has a 98 Ram 2500 with the 360 and he gets about 18-19 per gallon

  • and 24 mpg? i got 22 in my 98 V6 Dodge... and that was a mix of highway and city driving

  • @ConkerPucci13 It's not about getting 24 mpg out of a V6, it's about getting 365hp/420 lbs/ft and 20+mpg. Plus local dynos are showing these putting out more like 385hp stock. Which help explains why it beats ford own 6.2L 411hp /434 lbs/ft 0-60 and 1/4 mile

  • @malkowskitube actually it is about mpg, isn't that what this Country is needing? yeah it is, and when does 0-60 matter on a street, or hauling? it doesn't.. don't know why we need to know this useless shit, trucks were meant for work

  • @ConkerPucci13 which is why i say get rid of the stupid 4 doors

  • @ConkerPucci13 I still don't think you get it. It can tow 11,300 lbs, and get 22+ mpg when it's not. Unheard of in gasoline trucks. Truck guys car quite a bit about hp/trq ratings, and most of us care about 0-60 times, it's been the basic gauge of a vehicles performance for ever (that's why any car/truck magazine includes it). No one wants to be turning onto a busy freeway with a truck that takes 2 days to get up to speed, especially while towing. Enjoy your slow, boring, shitty work truck.

  • @malkowskitube when in my life am i going to tow 11,300lbs? never, and slow? you don't know what my truck can do, so don't even get started, boring? sorry but i'm not into all this technology in auto motives, because i'm not lazy, i can do things by myself and not have my computer telling the truck what to do. My truck can haul just fine and do what it needs to do, why would i wanna tow that much anyway? if i need to, i'll use a Semi thank you

  • @ConkerPucci13 You sound like a poor, uneducated old farmer, so you will probably never tow anything too big, like a nice boat. Although you did say "don't even get started", so you may be a teenage black girl? If you don't care about 0-60 times and not into car tech than I know your truck is probably a piece. But if you do ever need to tow 5 tons, you'll use a $80,000 semi? Genius...

  • it's not Daimler-Chrysler anymore, it's Fiat-Chrysler

  • I love the blinkers on these Ford's. No more slacking turn signal stocks. :)

  • Awesome truck and drive! I love the EcoBoost.

  • It is smooth and the cabin is well dampened.

  • The engine is really quiet, you can barely hear it :D

  • You really know your stuff on these. Do you study before you make the video? Or just read up on things that you like in your free time? But anyways, nice work on all of these. It's really nice seeing the test drives and how the engine sounds under load.

  • this is awesome!!

  • so why are ecoboost engines so efficient?

  • I love that I see the road too :D

  • perfect camera angle! great drives too

  • 2011 explorer in the background by the tunnel!

  • Two F-150 test drives in one week? Awesome!

  • @SuperFordguy123 I plan on doing 4 total: 1 for each of the new engines in the new F150s.

  • @GrandPrixGTP02 Awesome! Try to do a Platinum!

  • @GrandPrixGTP02 what kind of camera do you use?

  • @BallardAutoReviews All of my reviews are shot with a Canon S5 IS combined with a Wide Angle Lens.

  • @GrandPrixGTP02 ok thanks. i will forvever be a suscriber. :)

  • Nice video mate

  • If financially possible please consider obtaining an HD camera. I really enjoy your content and think it would help if it was in HD.

  • Whenever I see you reaching for the door handle with the keys in your hand sticking out, I'm always afraid you are going nick the door and scratch it. lol

  • Love the interior in this, such beautiful wood trim!

  • NICE
