Aids weakens your immune system, making you more receptive to colds and infections, and that is what kills a person with aids. Magic leads a very healthy life, so he probably wont die anytime soon. Good question, because magic did come back in 96, but Im not sure if he played. I was only 6 at the time, but I remeber he did come back.

I don't know why people are giving you thumbs down because it's not that stupid a question. Magic played a fair way into the 90s- he and Shaq were certainly in the league together for a couple of years.
Magic's heyday was well before Shaq ever came to the league though. Shaq was just a little kid when Magic was winning championships.

Jordan has been better player than any other in this sport, but Magic is the man who made this game more fun because he involved all the teammates (and even the public) in the pleasure of basketball.

the game that bill russell played compared to michael jordan was totally different. basketball is my first love but anything before the 70's i have my questions about... celtics winning 7-8 or whatever titles in a row, chamberlain averaging 50 ppg and 25 rebounds... why can no one touch those things now?

Sound accurate but in actually the game has deterioated on multiple levels. True the international game has improved considerably but the American game is lacking on multiple levels and it is not due to lack of players. Lack of basketball I.Q. and base fundamentals. The NBA is dominanted now by a few people more than it was before. Only a handful of great teams compared to the past. No more rivalries. No tradition. Sorry I will take the game in the past compared to now.

Yeah, nowadays its about 'athleticism' as opposed to actual basketball skills and basketball IQ. I'll take the players from the 80s and 90s over today's players every day of the week.

@banhgialon Yeah, that is why Duke and Butler both made it to the NCAA title game this season. Athleticism doesn't mean crap if you're not a smart player. Oh, and I will gladly take a Jordan, Magic, Bird, Barkley, Ewing line-up over any five stars of today.

Today's NBA is pure garbage. Its not basketball...its rigged entertainment. Unlike today's NBA, the 80s and 90s allowed you to play defense, dick bag.
