That's quite cool and works brilliantly for boats. I tried to do it as conveyor for mobs but the 2 water blocks behind the water source blocks flow backwards so it doesn't work. Any idea on how to make a flat water conveyor for mobs without using stone slabs or signs?
Why am I watching this all interested?

I attempted to duplicate this but it doesn't seem to work any more. Can anyone confirm or deny this please?

Getting that much sand and enough coal to smelt that wouldnt be very cheap and its long you can just mine for iron and get 16 tracks not very cheap

It's a good idea but I'm having a hard time adapting the system to turns.

Oh! you could make it a loop and put multiple boats on it. that seems like good transportation
