So, Jaredite mainstream society may have been destroyed, but that does not account for other Jaredites who may have fled & later absorbed by other cultures. In my research I found independent accounts from people saying how Joseph Smith had performed many healing miracles similar to that in the new testament through laying on of hands. He cured deafness, severe illness like cholorea on several people, and the accounts are all genuine, I ask you do supernatural healing miracles sound like the work of a conman and a liar to you?
So Joseph Smith finds a rock, calls it a seer stone, uses it to find buried gold, then later uses same stone to translate gold book given to him by angel? That is all fact. No slander here.

@kramd1 No, the BoM doesn't say the Jaredites were wiped out; they were destroyed as a civilization. It's just like Jerusalem was destroyed by Babylon, but it doesn't mean the Jews became extinct. So, Jaredite mainstream society may have been destroyed, but that does not account for other Jaredites who may have fled & later absorbed by other cultures. The BoM author may have ignored or was ignorant of Jaredites who may have fled to avoid destruction. On buildings, I wasn't suggesting anything.

There is more than just ONE God...we have - the mention of the ONE God is the Godhead...LDS theology states that the three act in a Godhead as ONE god..a unit...if you truly knew LDS theology...you would have known that..but obviously you don't. Only if it is an historical record. Unfortunately, the evidence (including DNA evidence) hasn't been kind to the BOM's claim of historicity. Nonetheless, the BOM's true greatness is that it is a powerful too (perhaps even more powerful than the Bible) in bringing others to Christ. And that was Joseph's aim. I just pray it is an historical record, however, the more I learn about church history, the less I feel that the BOM is the historical record it is claimed to be. Please God let it be.

Please tell me why Louis Midgley a professor of political science (retired) would have any value as a peer reviewer of a paper on archeology ?
He may be a great poli-sci instructor but his opinions on archeology would have no more merit at a REAL journal as any other layman.
If you really think they are unmatched in their research why do they have to "publish" in a "journal" owned by the lds instead of scholarly journals that do preform proper peer review.

or j.tvedtnes who on video from fair said " it was not a big industry to be sure but metallurgy never is" hmmm Ancient Rome, the Greek city states, Egypt, China must have just been exceptions.
