  • @clintonlee07111 thanks...its a Fasco

  • Sure wish you would have showed the point at which you took it off. It would have been helpful.

  • have you experimented with rich pine ? wondering if you could substitute widdled thin rich pine wafers instead of the cloth.

  • @Gizziiusa fat wood is great for kindling

  • @Gizziiusa what is " Rich pine " ? do you have video of this.? instead of charred cloth.

  • Great vids man

  • How come this partially burned cloth can catch fire better than unburned cloth?

  • @NoisemakerArrow because it's carbon

  • 100% cotton T-Shirts work great.

  • Thanks for the tutorial for making charr cloth. Thanks for sharing.

  • @ThePatriotGunner Your welcome

  • can I wear pants of char-cloth?

  • @getsome1414

    cotton

  • The round cotton pads that you can get out of the health and beauty department of any store used by women to remove makeup and such work really well to make into char cloth. 100% cotton and flat and round and practically perfect for the job. The pads are already in a cloth type state as well and can be easily stored in a tin or other container as a part of your fire kit.

  • i dont get it how do u start the fire with it

  • @footballguy146

watch my other video mountain man fire

  • i always like how the tin looks after you have used it in the fire for a few times. looks like old steel.

  • @firebug0001

    me too

  • @LivingHistorySchool why dont they sell tins like that?

  • I like to use old jeans that I buy at yard sales. You can get a buttload of char-cloth that way. Plus you can usually get a pair of used jeans for about $1 at a yard sale!

  • @jwilson004athotmail You right brother! I usually use the cut legs of my jeans, after they turn into shorts! Denim is my favorite material for charred cloth cause it´s more resist after it´s done and wont break on you very easily as you try to ignite it!

  • That's really cool. Thank you for doing these videos.

  • Do regular shirts have 100% cotton?

  • Altoids tin - check.

    100% cotton cloth - check

This spring (after our 2' of snow pack melts) I have to give that a try. Thanks.
