Flit helps when you have to steal something that under a light and need to return back to the shadows quickly, and Gecko Hold/Spider Hold is good for emergencies.
@retrogamer32X Actually, no. Wasn't intending it at the time. It took some drinking and lying to myself to convince myself LPing the XDAS series was a good idea. I'm glad I did.
My Zinglon! Seeing the "Forgetfulness" skill reminds me of how much I needed to use an Action Replay for the GameCube version of the original Splinter Cell. I haven't played a game in that series since, so I don't know what the story is. Gawd I hate stealth games. Makes me wonder why I got the MGS4 PS3 for Christmas two years ago.
For those of you questioning the order, the guy was right about that being chronological order. He said chronological, not order in which they were released.
Normally I'd agree with you, but I've been replaying Trilby's Notes and that game deserves way more attention. I might need to bite the bullet and take the serious route.
...Like metal? Oh, you should probably spit it out then. And keep playing the Days Quadrilogy, too. Seems like you're doing a pretty good job with it so far.
Haha... this conversation is sort of ironic given Trilby's notes and the rest of the series are now, in my opinion, one of my favorite playthroughs, leaving only Iji and Cave story in the same category of awesome Let's Plays.
Whoo Yahtzee!!! You and Yahtzee are like the the best game-involved people ever! Along with UltraJMan, Cloud8745, and LuizPrower. They need to start selling ZP shirts, just like Yahzee said.
I've played through the other games but I never found this one on Yahtzee's website. The other games have been one of the best adventure game series I've played in a while, & one of the creepiest to boot. Don't tase me, Trilby!
Like La-Mulana. Oh sure, fighting catball and the Mother of all life on earth is wonderful fun!
But then you have to solve all the puzzles in the Twin Labyrinth. And impregnate Female Statues.
And Hell Temple.
But I digress. Even good games can have flaws...when the good qualities overcome those flaws or even draw from those flaws to create more quality, then you have a good game.
Huh. Neat! I played 5 Days a Stranger before in the past and it's sequels but I wasn't aware of the existence of this branch of the series. Looks neat!
If it's got upgrades and treasure chests, then I'm all for it. In fact they need to make more video games that are all about finding treasures and upgrades.
This is a tie-in game to a 4-part series, all made by Ben Croshaw. The rest of the series' gameplay is not even close to that of this game though. This game's characters are the same as in the main games, but the plot has NOTHING to do with the main game. Hell, even the GENRE isn't the same: the main games are horror. And this game takes place years before the other games. The games are, in chronological order: 5 Days a Stranger, Trilby's Notes, 6 Days a Sacrifice, and 7 days a Skeptic
I personally find it easier to believe that the main characters from each series are in fact different people, rather than have the awesome Trilby in AoT subjected to all of that torture.

They are. I keep meaning to play Notes again. But somehow I don't think my commentary is conducive to those games.

Yeah, those are some of the best games ever, but they're best taken seriously, instead of having funny commentary.

Grolly means Grappling (b)rolly, as brolly is slang for umbrella
*nearly had a doubletake seeing you do this.. being such a massive fan of this series XD*
HikariOblivion 4 years ago
I think Grolly is the bit on the end of the umbrella, or a misspelling of brelly.
theauthorman123 4 years ago
Grappling brelly, perhaps.

yeah, Grolly = Grappling Brolly (Brolly being slang for Umbrella)
also, the Clanbronwyn Classic outfit happens to be tied to the chzo series :D it's the outfit Trilby wears in Trilby's Notes
