  • Jody did you ever record your own version of You Can Count On Me?

  • @scunnym No, I did not and I love what Howard did on it despite how it was handled as I said. I do however have a vocal of the demo for the Shalamar song 'Help Me' which I co-wrote and originally sung. It's all good - everything worked out in the end. I would still not trade my Shalamar experience, I learned a lot. Thanks!

  • @jwatley1 i love 'Help Me' and thanks for taking the time to reply, made my day x :)

  • well you got your shine on "Right Here" (love that track) it indicated what you were capable of and later proved as a solo artist. god bless you. too bad you didn't get more chances to shine. howard and leon did have some great chemistry so it's understandable why solar kept moving in that direction. dick griffey is a notorious tight wad.

  • @mrhorn2001 CORRECTION...if Howard and Leon had such great chemistry, shouldn't the formula continue to work after Jody's departure? I mean, I'm just saying. Jody never needed the platform of Youtube to get her shine on, the spotlight has never left, but if I were you, I'd be more concern about the fading light that has dimmed oh so long ago for the gentlemen.....but maybe if the two remove their caps, i'm sure they'll LET THE SUN SHINE IN!

  • I'm 44 and have wonderful memories ..Your music brought so much joy. I'm a black woman who grew up in Akron, Ohio and Shalamar was EVERYTHING to us. I'm sorry the shady side of the music business ruined any chances of reunion, but I understand your feelings. Life is too short to do something that makes you unhappy, so DO YOU JODY. I am so glad that you had an awesome solo career. I remember in the 80's wanting hair and clothes just like you! You were and still are an inspiration!

  • @ValleyGyrlTV Thanks so much!! I really appreciate your kind words and longtime support.

  • Love Love Love love love Shalamar ...STILL TO THIS DAY

But they need to REGROUP NOw... before one die and we dont get to see them do it..

  • @MRJACKSON19581 "Regroup" is not even on my "Top 200 Things To Do" before my time is up on this earth, lol - sorry. I wish those guys the best as well as daughter Griffey/owner/Shalamar member. Been there, done it and still have a T-shirt! I've never been someone who does what others do or expect. As I've always said, I encourage everyone (including you) to live life how YOU want and be happy as much as possible dictating YOUR journey - that's what I'm doing and will continue to do :-)

  • @jwatley1 Come on Jody, do it for the fans.. otherwise it reads like a "lady doth protest tomuch"....

  • @hearingdoctor This isn't a protest - rather I was filling in the many blanks and gaps left out of Unsung because there were many key points from back then as well as from in recent years which I discussed. Did you watch Part 7, where I discuss 'Reunions' the one we did with Babyface (omitted from Unsung), what happened when I invited Jeffrey and Howard to sing on a song for my album 'Flower', negotiations?? Before judging where I'm coming from, you should. Thanks so much!

  • @jwatley1 You are correct. I was only up to Part 5 and I did take the time to finish watching and then went back and watch the Unsung documentary... They managed to leave out a lot. Mea Culpa! When Im wrong or overstep my boundaries, I am willing to say so. When I watched them at first, I was like, "Come on, really??? Come on... you are a success and no reason to read as "bitter", but then I started watching more, I realized they edited a lot out.. Why? Sensationalize it a bit?

  • oooh What's the name of the song playing in the background of this video? I LOVE IT! What I have come to realize an it's not funny but The Look was basically Howard's first album with backing vocals from Leon an yourself I mean he got to help write the title track. I did notice after listening to Shalamar music your vocals became less an less.

  • I too wondered why no mention was made of stephanie mills. I thought she and jeffrey were married, and that he was abusive, (not to be a muck raker).

admire the hell out of jody, she was always the focal point for me, don't know about everyone else. her voice ALWAYS stood out. were the producers blind and deaf?

  • i really love this...and im so glad jody was able to tell the unfiltered story which was edited n unsung...it all makez more sense now...and i will still alwayz continue to watch unsung, itz just good to know that artistz come back to "add n" what was either taken out or not told correctly.. thanx so much for this!!

  • @40mbooh Thank YOU for watching 'Unfiltered' (to fill in some of the gaps left in Unsung).

  • You could tell in the Dead Giveaway video that Jody was pissed. She was still so lovely in it though...So Sade-ish back then. It IS good that they have moved past all of it. When I'm Looking For A New Love, etc. came out, it was all so well-deserved for her--that success. We had no idea, and why would we? We got the music, the videos, the greatness. And were thankful for that!

  • He sent you limo away LOL I'm sorry for laughing but that was dirty I would have blew some shit UP!

  • Good for you Jody, Just look at the success you achieved after Shalamar, I remember reading somewhere that you were Janet Jackson's ONLY competition... I really enjoyed your music, Good for you for telling them where to "stick it", I've watched alot of other groups disintergrate when one gets the "big head", "The Supremes" come to mind first.

  • I am 60 and enjoyed the group so much, especially when you all use to make guest appearances on Soul Train after you made it big!!! You three always were professional no matter what! The smooth dance numbers, the lively vocals, the outfits,,,,,,,being young! This is how I choose to always remember all three of you,,,,,and all the joy you gave and give your young AND old fans!!! All the other 'action' is just water under the bridge........no one can take any of your talents away!!!!!!

  • @lpen1758 I love this comment! Hope she read it. Wish she'd responded to it...I'm a little late on these Unfiltereds though...just saw the Unsung episode about a week ago. I still love Unsung though. It's addictive! Hope they don't hide as much truth in all the other episodes the way they did this one...

  • I Luv It When The Truth Comes From The Real-Truth KNOWer, not Hearsay. I Grew-up in the 1970s Listening to the Artist Known as Ms. Jody Watley along with Shalamar, I Loved Shalamar, but in All Honesty I Loved Ms.Jody Watleys' Solo Offerings just as much, if not more-so, Especially the Song "FRIENDS" w/ ERIC B. & RAKIM, I'm Just Saying. Be Well To All.

  • You know its wierd. I grew up listening to these groups. Shalamar was a great group with beautiful songs but to think that behind the scenes things weren't working out. I always grew as a kid thinking that Shalamar was the closest of friends that's the impression a kid gets seeing the album covers and seeing them perform. Reality Sucks sometimes. I wish it could've been different. GOD Bless Miss Jody Watley.

  • Thank you Jody for your candid interviews. You are one my favorite artists of all time. I still go to your shows. You are truly legendary.

  • this should not discourage anybody about the music business...there are alot of dynamics that occurrs in a group..I should know I've been in a few myself..I'am in a group right now..it's not always easy but what can make it function..is not to hang out with the person...now of course I mean keep your private life out of the business

  • I will always admire what Shalamar did in the 80's. Great group. Great songs. Great memories.

  • Wasn't being paid??? What in the world???

  • they made Jody seem flaky

  • Jody, You R Fine!

    ....Waiting for part 7

  • You are awesome!!! Jody...I remember when you were in the group Shalamar, you guys came to Hawaii and performed. I was young then, but still remember. I know it was other groups also like Lake side etc...Anyway I still listen to you as a solo artist and music by Shalamar. To me you folks (Shalamar) were the BEST group back then. Sad that the group was miss managed. I think Dick was living off Shalamar's fame and fortune, as were others. Sad. You are truly classy...

    Aloha...

    Aloha...

  • well at least Jody told her side and she is still a srong sister.

  • Thank you Jody. The music industry is very nasty and they took a group(Shalamar) and an album (The Look) that is on par with Thriller and mismanage and mishandle the whole thing. No one should blame anyoneof you. The truth is they should have managed you guys better. You are one of the greatest artist alive, Howard is one of the greatest singers and Jefferey is one of the greatest dancers. They lost out on pure platinum.

  • I just watch all six parts of Unfiltered and it really was so informative. I don't have cable so I never saw Unsung but I'm glad she cleared up a lot about why the group split up. I've never heard any of this about Jeffrey Daniels so that was new to me but I'm pretty sure anybody could guess that Howard Hewitt was an asshole. Though I loved the music I he came across just in interviews at the time like he was very arrogant. I want to know if he ever apologized for his crap.

  • Hey Jody, my last year in Los Angeles,1995, I ran into Jermaine Stewart while Jerry Bell and I was on Washington St. in Culver City...he told us you were ok and at that time was doing well.

  • @UHeythere I thought Jermaine Stewart died a long time ago.

  • @iluvjeter2 1995 was a long time ago, Jermaine Stewart was,then, alive.

  • LOVE YOU JODY. YOU ARE AN ORIGINAL.. GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP SINGING

  • @elic843 Thank you so much. God bless you too!!

  • will always love me some jody watley

  • Miss Jody I admire u for doing u. I'm a Black Gay male and I can relate to being in situations where I was mistreated and after I got fed up I decided to leave and leaving was the best thing. I was able to get respect as a journalist and I became the first male on both sides of my family to graduate college. Your music and story on Unfilted helps me see that I can have a Beautiful Life

  • I wasn't not around when Shalamar was big. I was too young then. Because you went solo, it was after your fame, that I heard of Shalamar. When they use to play Shalamar's video, I was saying to myself, "Who is is that beautiful woman?" You had such a unique look and style. Then in 1988, I was 19 years old and saw your 1st solo concert as "Jody Watley" @ The Universal Amphitheater in L.A.. I bumped into Pia Zadora at the concession. Being a female, I copied your fashion trend.

  • Thanks for Doing this ,we don't know the Behind the Scene. They did cut alot of You off the Unsung to Me. I grew up with the Group ,and I remember different parts of you guys lifes that I would see in the Maginzine and Show after the break up as well. I only saw the the Good parts. I see why You don't want to do the RE-Union. I glad Your Happy, that the Bottom-Line.

  • omg, can't wait for part six. this is SO much better than the Shalamar Unsung!

  • @missgodiver I believe both gentlemen are desperate for a reunion. Just don't believe it will happen.

  • Search for "Howard Hewett Magic 98.9 interview" on youtube to learn what Howard Hewett thinks of Jody Watley. He's obviously very bitter.

  • @missgodiver, I listen to the interview, and disagree with you. Howard did not sound bitter. Though his remark was not gracious, but should i expect anything less from a chauvinist slab of pork? But, i must say on his behalf, he was the only other member from the Solar family, beside Babyface, that was supportive of Jody's solo career, but his barbarous ,unastute remarks he could've kept to himself.

  • @TheElfcounsel No? Really? Are you sure Howard is not bitter because I've watched that a dozen times and I swear it sounds like he is really bitter and also desperate for a reunion.

  • @40winker, Jeffrey Daniles is going to hate to read your post. :-) be ready for a battle with the unfaired madden!

  • @missgodiver, you continue stating Jody's talentless, that's good. Because in this life we all need haters and the sweater you wear fits you well. You say you're not Jeffrey Daniels, fine, my question is, why did everyone from the group, even the replacements as well as the background singer, Jermaine Stewart went on to have successful careers. Except you!

  • @shaftunlimited I never had a successful career in music because I'm not a musician, I am a white collar worker. Jeffery Daniels never had a successful career in music even though he is musically talented.

  • @missgodiver, you stated you're not Jeffrey Daniels, ok, whatever if you believe your own dreams, fine. Dream on, chil'! But, being musically talented, or any talent, always transends into one's career. Need i say more about his (yours)? But, at least we're having a meeting of the mind, Jeffrey's never had a successful, or even budding career. Wouldn't you agree it's time for an occupational modification?

  • @shaftunlimited I will say it again: Jeffrey Daniel has never had a successful musical career even though he is musically talented. Jody Watley has had one even though her talent is less than that of Jeffery's. This is called honest opinion which is more than what you and Jody Watley are capable of. And if you continue to consist that I am he it just shows how vain you really are.

  • @missgodiver, and, I will repeat my statement once more, in my honest opinion, which I see being astute is not your brightest color in the crayon box, Jody's TALENT from being just the girl in shalamar, evolved into a successful TALENTED singer and notable entertainer, not only on the pop scene, but Broadway and sung for the president of the United States, also, least we not forget ! But for you? I think it's time for a job modification! Oops... that's right, you're not Jeffrey.......Sorry!

  • @shaftunlimited Tell me who you are Shaft. Are you Leon Sylvers?

  • @missgodiver, I'm rather disappointed in you, godiver. Your wits aren't as sharp as they used to be playing a good game of cat & mouse....Tisk....Tisk! isn't it said when you're on the opposite end of not having the knowledge of one's identity, and they know all about you, as well as your whereabouts....For now, you can call mw Leon Sylvers....Ha!.....Ha! Or, use your great talents to piece this puzzle together!

  • @shaftunlimited Hey Leon, is it true that you fathered Jody's children?

  • @missgodiver, running out of material, I see! Tisk...Tisk...Tisk! Well, i found a bigger piece to your puzzle that inquiring mind would love to know, Jeffrey. How's the low budget, $2.00 PORN STAR, Kelly Stewart, who mothered your Daughter, Skinnyboy? you're becoming more perdictable than a 1950's sitcom... I know your beginning, middle and your prognosticated ending. To bad you can't identify the same with your failed music career! :-))

  • @shaftunlimited Hey Leon it's getting late here in LA - I mean Japan. I am going to turn in now. Good night and God bless.

  • @shaftunlimited Where are you? Come out and play!

  • @missgodiver, either you're in, or you're out! Make up yo' mind, man. On one hand you're saying the group (if that''s what you consider you guys) doesn't need Jody's voice, and in your next breath, you're trying to give advice that Jody's missing out on making millions. Hell, history shows, to date, Shalamar never did in the past, or present made a million. Just ask Gearld Brown! Solar's still in the red with him!

  • @shaftunlimited Allegedly Shalamar were cheated in the past by Dick Griffey but clearly there were millions floating around. Today, Dick does not play any role so there is scope for making millions. Many of us dont like our co-workers but we stay for the money. Purely financial decisions.

  • @missgodiver, no doll, pure facts. The group was cheated and that's reason gearld Brown was not invited to be included on Unsung. He has proof, and not having him interviewed was Griffey's way of keeping the lid on the pot that's been boiling for over 30 yrs. Though today Griffey may not retails the group with kit-gloves but still onw the shalamar trademark, and least we not forget his daughter, Carolyn, sings in the group, he just pimping from a different direction in this millennium.

  • @shaftunlimited Griffey did not have any input on "Unsung". Brown was left out because the researchers had no idea who he is. I doubt if Griffey has any input into the current Shalamar line up.

  • @missgodiver, Bullsh#%! TV1 historians stayed on top of there contacts, even though they're production on the shalamar episode sucked, the contact list was followed through. Dick Griffey OWNS the shalamar trademark, so, yes, his hands are involved in every aspect of the group's act. And, yes, Gearld was contacted, he just was not invited to air his views, especially about events of Australia!

  • @shaftunlimited Corrections: "their" not "there" and "their" not "there". Oh well, if you say so. Unsung was only 45 minutes long. It should have concentrated on how good the group were. I can understand the need to drop Gerald's story if he really was invited (although I doubt you have any proof - I think you just made that up for effect)

  • @missgodiver, when it came down to WHO, and WOULD NOT cooperate their opinions into the Unsung Shalamar episode, Griffey had his hand in the production. And, since he and Kathy Hughes are frineds, he had free rings. Now, get that!

  • @shaftunlimited Is that free onion rings? Hmmm, they're great arent they?

  • @missgodiver not as great as the rings around your eyes. The next time you decide to shoot an early morning video, make sure you're wearing the largest and darkest of Jackie-O's you can find, or at least, ask Griffey for a $20.00 advance on your pay to purchase some Derma blend. It'll be a great investment. It works wonders for erasing that Raccoon look, dear. Now, if only we could only find a cover up pancake for the yellow strip down your back!

  • @shaftunlimited Hello shaftunlimited or can I call you shaft now? Where have you been these last few weeks? I can just imagine you spending all that time in your room thinking of something clever to say and nothing coming up with this. Yawn.

  • @missgodiver ,unlike you, living in Japan, praying at the temple for employment, i have a life running a company. Need a job. i can always use a good chauffeur. Well, think about it, dear. Now, run off to the temple and rang the bells, and this time, remember...heavy on the Derma Blend! Ta!...Ta!

  • @shaftunlimited I have never been to Japan and trust me, I would be a terrible chauffeur but thanks for the offer. Maybe I could write some wittier posts for you as a job. You dont seem to be very good at it yourself.

  • @missgodiver, hey, it's me, Leon Sylvers , back again. Why should the truth always be witty? You're no longer in Japan? That's funny, when i track Youtube's tracer to see of your post location, it alerts Japan. Mmm... Anyway, the job offer still stands, but, if your driving skills are as bad as your unclever banter and inability to hold a note (check your 'One day in your life,' clip) a job site is nowhere in your future destination. Remember....you need TALENT, which you lack! Ta, ta, dear!

  • @shaftunlimited Hey Leon it's me Jeffrey Daniels!! How are you old buddy? Do you know we have lots in common. We have both shafted Jody Watley in all the senses of the word. Is that why you called yourself shaft unlimited?

  • @shaftunlimited Oh well if the youtube tracer says that I am in Japan then it must be right although right now it's the small hours of the morning there so I must be losing sleep.

  • @shaftunlimited Oh Leon you big kidder you. There's no such thing as a youtube tracer and now look what you made me do. You made me reveal that I really am Jeffery Daniels harboring a grudge against the amazingly talented and beautiful Jody Watley and I should also add successful. Did I already say beautiful because if I didnot then add that too. How lucky you are to have fathered children with her.

  • @missgodiver Wow, if that be true, then I know the children are gorgeous

  • @missgodiver reading every comment that's been posted on the walls of all 6 chapters of Unfiltered by the fans and you claimed not to be Mr. Daniels, how did you know inside information of Gearld Brown, or if the researchers of Unsung knew who he was? After all, he did help give Shalamar their second hit, 'Take that to the bank' so they would have to have known of his history.

  • @missgodiver, when it comes to Griffey's business acumens, nothing is never 'Allegedly' and if millions are floating around, trust me, every penny has floated into his bank account, including, misapproated fund that are to this day, still, missing from artists accounts,or embezzled funds he'd taken from artist who has bravely escaped his cluster of musical hoes he can no longer pimp. Intergrity is not his greatest characteristic gene!

  • @shaftunlimited It's not yours either. (Doh, integrity dummy, read the original thread).

  • Finally got to study Part 5 of this compelling series. I even read the comments and missgodiver must be in a serious state of denial or why else would they be so fascinated with what you're up to. Congratulations on yet another #1 record (traxsource) - "Tonight's the Night" is my jam!!! Go Girl!

  • Wow!!! I'd been waiting for this episode!!! You are truly a strong woman to be able to deal with all that you went through.

  • Jody, you are a classy and strong Sister.

  • So, Jody what you are saying in part 5 is that you felt jealous that Howard was a much better singer than you and you wanted to sing more songs. But even Leon Sylvers with whom you had just had a child did not think that you were worthy enough to sing lead on more songs. What you are telling us is that Shalamar broke up because your ego was greater than your talent.

  • @missgodiver Jody does not seem jealous...she won in the end...and it wasn't just about record sales and fame...it was about respect & creative freedom & moving forward. Jody is a class act and a beautiful spirit!

  • @stanleyballard She didnot win anything. Her material is simple and forgettable whereas Shalamar play on rotation all over the world. Her singing is ordinary whereas Howard's is world class. She thinks she won and she surrounds herself with people who tell her this.

  • @missgodiver I wouldn't say that Jody's material is forgettable at all. She has many fans and I'm one of them. I have EVERYTHING she's put out plus all the singles I can get my hands on. I'm sure I'm not the only fan that can say that. She's always been a standout type of person to me.

  • @missgodiver Shalamar plays because of Jody's soulful delivery and her great tone...there is a reason why they want her back to make the package complete. Just like any good background singer she had a unique way of singing the hook and the background singers in most of the best songs sing the hook. You can clearly hear Watley in most of Shalamar's best tunes.

  • @stanleyballard Anyone could have sung those background bits. Howard's is the only truly great voice on the Shalamar tracks. I dont think that Shalamar need Jody back. I just think that Jody is missing her chance to make millions that's all. And once again, I am not Jeffrey Daniels or Howard Hewett or Stephanie Mills.

  • @missgodiver, no what Jody was saying that her voice fit lead equally well, but don't feel bitter because you weren't ask to sing lead on a romantic ballad.... i take that back, there was "The pop along kid!' My bad. How could i forget such a influential chart topper. But, what i want to know is, you, having a child by a porn star, Kelly, would continue to allow Dick Griffey to SCREW you, still. Oh, the tricks we'll turn for $2.00 and some bubble gum!

  • @shaftunlimited I have no idea what you're talking about.

  • hewett and daniel are brainless spineless and wrong for disrespecting the sister back inna days.

  • these episodes are so informative, how many people truly rise above the Ash...i'm glad that you succeeded, your solo material is classy, intellectual and artsy. There's truly on one Jody Wately

  • @molokat Thanks so much, I really appreciate your comments and support.

  • May not have had Chicago this weekend but what a great consolation to have a new chapter in this story.

These unfiltered videos are such a great present to your fans. Always amazed with the full on eloquence that you present with you every step, thank you for sharing these Jody.

Looking forward to the next installment.

  • Jody, when I see old clips of you performing with the others promoting the Look, It looks like you weren't happy in any of the performances, It must have been hard for you to do those things but you kept your professionialism and that is why you have been in the game for this long!

  • How do you stay so beautiful Jody? Keep it up . I come on here and listen to your songs every week "especially real love" I wish u luck in everything you do love you girl

  • Surprising "current day & time" photo at the end! There had to be some "apologies given" in order for that photo to have even been taken! Looking forward to Pt. 6 for I too, check daily for posts from JW on this series & hopefully we won't have to wait weeks at time for Pt. 6! Smile!

Who owns the name of the group?, Whats Howard & Dick's take on JW's solo success & repeated no's for a reunion!, etc????........Continued best of luck & love to a "solo Jody" always! 1 day ago

  • It all sounds very childish. What you needed back then was someone to knock all your heads together like children. And by the way, we all have assumed names. It's one thing for us to assume a name. It's another thing for someone else to assume they actually know who's behind the mask. Great background music too.

  • Jody,

Your honesty is so refreshing. I have to mention that every time you mention Jermaine Stewart's name, it makes me so sad. I got a chance to know him through work and his transitioning was just so so sad. The big "A" took so many wonderful spirits from this earth possibly before their time. But Jody, though I didn't follow Shalamar that close, I sincerely appreciate your honesty on these webisodes.

  • It's always nice to hear the other persons side of the story. I am so glad that you had the courage to do this "face-to-face" instead of releasing a statement. God bless you and I hope life is as good to you in your future, as you have been to entertainment.

  • Miss Jody Watley, Always and forever being true to herself! Leave it up to JW to tell the REAL truth. I completely understand not wanting to do a reunion. After all is said and done. You are in a different part of your life and not trying to relive the past. It's about growth and moving forward. Continue to live your life in truth and happiness. Your number one fan always, Padua ( from Wasshington DC )

  • man..would have loved to hear you sing lead "You Can Count On Me"...that would have been great! Thanks for keeping it real...love you Jody.

  • It really is good for other young women who are in the music field to learn from your experienes of being messed over and treated foul to educate themselves and be hip to how the game is!!!

  • Thank you once again Jody for clearing up a lot of stuff that has been very foggy and not clear for many years to fans of yours and of the Shalamar days!!! Again please don't take offense on my original perception on things.!!

  • Hello Jody... lot's of love in Atlanta.

  • I am a female biker and it would be greatly appreciated if missgodiver and mrcovering were to go to stephanie mills and jeffrey daniels youtube pages to fuss at one another because if you 2 have something against each other then meet face to face. Oh and Jody's earrings are not ugly, they are in. Don't try to get me involved in childish banter because I am to old to fall for unnecessary negativity and keep innocent children out of your arguments, please end the hatred and move forward, luv u

  • @bikerider59 I agree with your comments here. There are those who feel empowered and post hateful comments hidden anonymously behind a computer screen under assumed names - internet courage isn't really courage. There is nothing to be gained by becoming involved in nonsense and negativity. I had to laugh at the earrings, don't know what was said but I saw the very fierce Rihanna recently with gigantic hoops (not the first time either) and it made me smile, my girl, I thought!

  • @jwatley1, i agree with you and bikerider59, but in this life we need the haters, they keep us strong, on point, and little do they know, they're our chauffeurs that drives us to the road of SUCCESS, that's why i keep empoyment available, announcing to the haters, "I gotta position for you! Need a job?" So, Miss Watley, when the haters come for you, tell them to bring along some friends, you have work for them to do, then sit back and enjoy the ride.

  • They say that time heals wounds, but...I don't blame you at all for not wanting to do a Re-union.....

  • @LegrandnjClassicSoul I enjoy being my own boss and doing my own thing, my own songs, etc. - my wounds are so healed. It is others who direct ill will and bitterness in my direction which is not unique to me. Becoming a stronger wiser woman, artist and writer remains paramount. I'm about joy, life is short!. My desire is always to encourage others to follow their own path in life and not be afraid, which is something I have said throughout my solo career and in my Unsung interview.

  • @jwatley1, you may not remember me from my days working at Solar, so i won't reveal who i am, but just to let you know, i and my closes friends have been following your series and love your openness and honesty of what 'Unsung' fail to air to it's viewers in fear of loosing support of Dick Griffey, and like you, i, too, own and enjoy very much being my own boss at my own company, but me and my girls, got'cha back!

  • @jwatley1 you've never needed those guys. I just finished watching an old Soul train clip of you singing with the fellows "Make that move" and you were the star and made it really hard for the guys to keep up with.

  • And, there you have it. LOL! Wow! Forget "Unsung", this is some "Behind The Music" ish.

  • Hi pretty lady.

  • Hi Jody, I am getting into your personal life now by asking if you are a grandmom and if so by which child? If you prefer not to answer I can respect that and no matter what I still am a fan and I will continue to be subscribed to you because for us curious ones you are letting us know how life was behind the scenes and I thank you so much 4 that.

  • @bikerider59 No, I am NOT a grandmother.

  • Thank you Jodie for giving us your account of things...much appreciated and certainly fills in some blanks where your concerned.
