I'm a fan of Bob Dylan but I prefer Avril Lavigne's version... In my opinion it's better than Axl Rose's. I think it's because of the vocal. I really like her voice.

I do really like this version of the song, much softer than the Guns n Roses version (which I also like btw). I think they create quite different moods so maybe it is difficult to say which is actually better.

@AvrilAwesomeness It's about Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. "Mama" in this case is a wife or girlfriend, which is generally how Dylan used the term. This song is originally by Bob Dylan (a far superior version as well, I might add.)

Really, if the other versions are so much better, then go watch them and don't bother with commenting because no one cares and we're still going to listen to this song and love it no matter what you jerks say. If we have a problem we shouldn't ignore it because others suffers worse than us. What we can do is help those who do suffer more but we can't just ignore our own issues anyways.
You yourself always comes first because if not then you won't be helping others anyways.
