Personally, I am more than satisfied with my current 3g 8gb iPod touch, which the video tells me is in-fact pretty much the same as the 2g model. I am so satisfied, it is therefore glued to my hand permanently and I am typing out this comment on the device.

Just jailbreak your iPod touch and enable multitasking but use ifile because wallpaer made mine lag if u want wallpaper without lag use bosspaper works better for some reason

The new 8gb iPod touch may not have as many features as the 32 and 64 BUT it is still considered a 3rd gen and can run many ios4 features if you jailbreak it (I'm able to multitask finely on mine)

go to the apple site, click ipods, then ipod touch, then buy. you'll see that the 8gb doesn't say 3rd generation

@obamaman4president actually, the 8GB have a DIFFERENT Serial code or "model number" on the plastic case it comes in. So there is a difference. It tells you that you bought it before or after the 3G series came out.

@PieLighter EXACYLY. all 3rd gen models run iOS4 with all its features. the 8gb model is just a continuation of the 2nd gen. it doesn't have access to the wallpaper and multitasking features. i'll say this again too-go to the apple website, then ipods, then ipod touch, and press buy. look at the choices. the 32 and 64gb both say 3rd gen underneath them. the 8 does not. who gives a fuck about the lines of text on the back, its completely irrelevant. they only mean that it is newer, not 3rd gen
