  • The crowds at the Garden put any crowd at the ACC today, to shame. It's pathetic how boring the ACC is. Has nothing to do with the team on the ice. The crowds are pathetic. Apart from when the Leafs score it's dead silent during play.

This was a regular season game and the crowd and the Leafs were leading 5-1 and the crowd still was rockin'.

  • My two childhood heros hooked up for this one

  • @1:45, Mrs. Gilmour applauds. I'll bet she fucked Gilmour that night. Then years later, she fucked Gilmour big time in divorce court!!!

Just like Gilmour, I've been fucked up the ass in divorce court. STAY SINGLE GUYS!!!!

  • Greatest leaf along with Clark, too bad sundinsucks is in on the goal

  • @sundinsucks i hate getting into online arguments but the all-time leaf leader in goals and points does not suck...he's a future hall of famer. you can think gilmour and clark are better than sundin, that's your opinion but sundin DOES NOT suck. did you see the move he made on the goalie?

  • @sundinsucks Nah the greatest Leaf ever is Kenny Baumgartner.

  • #93 WOOHOOH

  • Gilmour spielte auch mal bei den Calgary Flames!

    Carsten

  • wow in the first like 10 secs there would have been about 3 calls for slashing in today's league

  • They didnt allow air horns in MLG back in 95 but allowed them in 93?

  • I was at this game! i was 11 years old, so cool.

  • This video is marred by the presence of Mike Craig and Sergio Momesso

  • This was an amazing night. Dougie scored a couple of minutes before this goal, but it was disallowed. The place went crazy, booing like mad. Burnsy left the Gilmore/Sundin line out for like 2 straight minutes after that. The place was buzzing every time Gilmore touched the puck. It felt like a playoff game. That was the last game I ever saw at the Gardens.

  • whos #55? not blake

  • The infamous Larry Murphy.

  • Lol why is he infamous?

  • Larry Murphy was a fantastic d-man through his career. He had over 1200 points ins 1600 games as a d-man. He played almost 2 full seasons for the leafs but was a scapegoat for them as he had a lack of success with them. He was eventually traded to Detroit for future considerations and was an integral part of Detroit's two cups in 97 and 98.

  • and the flames but not the oilers im no hater of them

  • @mwoelfle Yeah,we booed him out of T.O. and didn't the guy go on to win one or two stanley's with detroit?

  • @JeffClancy1966 That doesn't change the fact that his level of play was horrid in Toronto. Do the 1997, 1998 Red Wings win those Cups without Larry Murphy? Absolutely. He was baggage. In Toronto he was a pylon and at times a healthy scratch.

  • @mwoelfle Oh I remember!! Remember that highlight of mario lemieux undressing bourque , some lesser light did the same to murphy and I just about puked! Anyway great vid about a top notch player!

  • Larry Murphy who you leafs booed for no reason

  • you again? you hate the leafs but you comment on every leaf video! JACKASS!!

  • i do this to the habs too JACKASS!

  • i like the stick work stuff. like, if the guys on u, move the puck, or, get smacked with by stick

  • Gilmour is one of the greatest ever!! He was a better all around player as opposed to Sundin. Dougie was a better defensive player. And Bob Cole is the greatest hockey announcer ever!!!!

  • He was obviously no Mats Sundin, but he certainly was a very good player.

  • and thats how its done :)

  • WHAT A BEAUTY!!

  • leafs need a new gilmour. someone who can score but also is a tough mother fucker.

also at 0:16 that so would be a penalty in the new nhl. just thought i would point that out

  • What a fucking team that was!!! Not to mention AMAZING coach!!

  • At one point, I heard the announcer say, "For real, Gilmour has the 1000th point."

    What was that about?

  • A couple minutes before this goal, the Leafs apparently scored a goal on a goalmouth scrum that would have been Dougie's 1000th point. The bench emptied, CBC showed all these prepared graphics in tribute, and then the goal got called back because the net was off before the goal went in!

It was better this way, a far more exciting play.

  • I was at that game! Way up in section 84, an arm's reach from the corner seat (i.e. corner of the whole building). During the game, the fans did the wave. One of them went around 11 times (full wave most of it). I lost my voice from yelling and it hurt to yell the "second" time he got 1000 but I yelled anyway. Great memory in my life, especially considering it was only my second and final visit to MLG, the first being when I was a toddler in the early 70s.

  • @mwoelfle

I remember that! They all celebrated as if it had already happened - wow. I remember as if it was just yesterday!

  • I see a crappy comment again about us Leafs fans, yet the passion we cherish is what Gilmour,Clark,Potvin, Sundin and others taught us as fans. We are horrified at the state our team is in,but we are no less fans. The team now needs Gilmour's leadership. He can prove that with the Marlies, and teach these kids.Go Leafs!

  • What an awsome christmas present!!!

  • Doug Gilmour was a class act. Doug made us proud. Thanks for posting!

  • and yet again someone bashes the Leafs louder then cheering for their own team.Who might your team be?

  • nice

  • Gilmour = greatest Leaf ever
