Whew...I'm exhausted! Fast forward plus tiny dirt roads just blew my mind. I don't see how you do it ....nerves of steel + iron will I suppose gets the job done. Enjoyed but now got to get away and let my vertigo settle down...LOL!
I enjoyed your videos. I've always wanted to do what you are doing. Instead Im am an attorney in Washington, DC. The one interivew you did about being a woman in the industry up there confirms your wit and charm while getting the job done. Please consider more philosophizing on random subjects over the din of music. I for one want to hear more about what you think on wide ranging matters. Roger in DC
wow.........and here i thought roads were bad in jamaica.....lol. from ur other vidz im assuming u have an international eagle (9200, 9400, 9900)????? anywayz here in jamaica i drive a freightliner fld132 classic xl with a 600hp C-16 Cat, 18sp. & 3.90ratio & an international 9900i daycab with a 600hp signature isx, 18speed and 4.10 ratio...i use the freightliner to haul 50tons 100 000lbs of wet sand a day in a 32ft. tip-trail. the 9900 is used strictly as a lowboy truck( cat d8, d9, d10 etc...)
Very good video! I am from sweden an i thought i seen bad roads but now i can say thank we only have highways in sweden, can be roads like this but its not often! You must be one of the bravest female trucker i have seen. I drive a big rig my self 24 meters long. 19,5 meters of cargo space, intr how trucks look in different countries! I will laye out a video soo you can see the difference. Take it easy this winter! have a good one!
Great vid and far different challenges to what we have here in old Blighty. Our roads are smaller and wind a lot so our units have to be shorter. I mainly drive DAF105's and MAN tga's
What the hell do you do if you get a blow-out in the middle of no where? do you have to carry you're own spares?
Hey my blond bandit now you have to go in there in the winter. also did they have the new bridge in there or did they have pick up the back of your traile and strighten it up for the bridge I went in there and it took two sets of tire chains just to go in there with an empty low bed I spun out on the last lift up in to the pit and then i loaded a 966 loader and I slid down the hill with 2 SETS of chains on god it took 2.5 hrs in and 3 out and its only like 27 kms in there

I thought you stay in the mine for some weeks or so..Read that you mabey go to the ice roads!!Your awsome girl..Cant wait to see more from your work..Take care out there..
Wonderful video, North60Star! I was going to share it with Weldaz1, but he beat me to it! LOL! Hey, have you thought about applying to that show, "Ice Road Truckers"? You certainly have the qualifications! Dang, that sure is one LOOOONNGG CLIMB! wow, whadda ride!!! Thank you so much for making sure I saw this one!!! :)
Oh man, don't get me started LOL Don't think they could pay me enough to be on that show. I run with the guys who run that road year round, the show is not highly regarded around here. However I have the opportunity to run where they filmed season 2 this winter. Our side.. the Inuvik side. So maybe there will be the ice road Tammy show on you tube. But as for the show no way!
Thanks for the comment darlin! They are quite the climbs for sure!
Once again great vid, It amaizes me how different trucking up there compared to the lower 48 is & your lucky to get to see all of that wonderful scenery up there...be safe
Beautiful vid Honey...beautiful country, I'd love to haulin' on that road...low R's. Our mud in the Islands is really sticky, so chains don't do much 'cept pick up more mud.
You take care out there on the ice Baby Doll,
my prayers will be with you always, as out of all my friends your job is the most dangerous one. I don't ask why...your answer's the same as mine, but I'm thinkin' about North too...the Islands could run out of work, and I ain't giving up my tractor to nobody, I take her w/me.
I'm not sure what I'm doin yet this winter, we are slowing down so I might be heading up on the ice. Not ready to say for sure yet though. Just that the opportunity is there and I'm leaning towards going!

Great Stuff Tammy! Keep up the great work! So what do you haul up there?
WhiteLinesBlueSkies 3 years ago
Anything and everything. They are preparing to start mining again and I believe we will have about 300 loads to take in there.
I took them 2 sea cans they needed for storage. I picked up a big generator and some steel to take out there too.
Thanks!

Thanks for share..
I have a question..
Do you drive everyday to the mine or sleep you in a hotel or how does your week look..
Where you get your load???
aid2003 3 years ago
I don't run steady in to the mines, just when the loads come up. Most of the time I'm just on the highway and get home every 2-3 days for a night.
The lodas come mostly out of Edmonton, some Vancouver...
north60star 3 years ago
Sound great 2.3 days at home..
So the mine is a super dirty special job..
I thought you stay in the mine for some weeks or so..Read that you mabey go to the ice roads!!Your awsome girl..Cant wait to see more from your work..Take care out there..
