Maxy-booby, don't feel awkward about imperfect logistics on the set and whatnot, we're just happy to see your insights and info gems. You are the authority.
Max blamed Milton Friedman for this?! That's outrageous! Milton Friedman layed out a plan for dissolving the Federal Reserve system with little turmoil.
This crisis was precipitated by Bill Clinton signing the repeal of Glass-Steagall. Of course, it was Phil Graham (R) who started this. However, if only the right wingers are to blame, then are we to believe that Clinton is a right winger?
These people are helping the banks by making it a political issue, instead of a corruption issue.
They both did. Friedman did a series on CBS explaining the Fed and its purposes. However, it was only an explanation, not an endorsement.
He laid out a plan to nationalize the money supply by converting federal reserve notes into treasury notes over an 18 month period. The functions of the Fed would thereby be nationalized.
IRS intrest rate swaps... just came up big on the radar screen.. big red donut alert there.. volatility in treasury yields definitely dunking the IRS donut ... better by the dozen .... trillions of dozens.. donut holes for every body... woof..
Everyday the phrase "Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul" becomes sweeter. Ron Paul would have "saved" America or at least put us on the right track to recovery but he didn't win, thus Americans can ONLY blame themselves for this mess, not just the banksters or the Fed but every moron who voted for McCain or Obama and the Congress we have. My conscious is clear.
"I do not know we have not looked at that specific area" holy shit, if you owned a restaurant and someone walked in bought every steak and the cutlery you would have a vague recollection at least !
It's well known that the gov't provided the very 'guns' and ammo to the Mexican gov't that owebama's administration is so bullish to STOP going across the border!
As usual government CREATES the problem then the wankers carry on and on about how they'll stop it. Generally placing blame on avg Americans to further impede freedom.
So our tax money which we work for goes to the government to make guns to go to the terrorist to kill our own troops.
The government does this...
Sick bastards.
Wait I just dont just blame the government, I blame the bankers who get money off people dieing
I'm really getting tired of this.

Partly it's political and corruption issue. Fundamentally it is conspiracy issue. 9/11 was an inside job!
epilogas 2 years ago
epilogas, although conspiracies do occur, please stop meshing conspiracies with the banking system.
You see, the moment an ordinary person hears about a conspiracy theory, they tune out.
The corruption in our banking system is helped by turning the ordinary citizen away. Conspiracy theories actually make it harder to fight the Fed.
I'm not asking you to change your opinion. I'm asking you to keep the issues separate.

Glass-Steagall was repealed by
Republican majorities in the Congress and in the Senate, then signed into law by Bill Clinton.
The repeal never would have happened without the Republican majorities.
avaistheone 2 years ago
You're right.
In 1999, 205 republicans voted for the repeal, and 138 democrats voted for it as well. It was signed by a democtatic president.
Do you see a pattern here?
As long as we focus on the right/left republican/democrat divide, we are missing the point.

I like Max and Stacey but he's wrong about Milton Friedman.... what we have going on here is corporate fascism and cronism.
