i will say that i had a G35 with a lil work bout a extra 70 hp and that mutha fuker was quick not to trill with the top end burst but out the gate i gurantee the 460 to big and heavy to keep up but that big motor will have a lot of catch up power in a 1/4 i could hit about 140 i dont think the lexus would be any where near that speed in a 1/4

Specs that im finding for the GS460 are claiming a tested 5.5s 0-60 and 13.9 sec 1/4 mile. It makes perfect sense that a G35 would be able to keep up with it. And everyone shouting "No it's a GS430" isnt really much of an arguement considering the GS430 is only 0.2sec slower.

Not sure I care as much, day to day, about what car is faster to 100. All I know is that when I was looking at cars, the G37 I ended up buying had a nice, modern interior that was functional and high tech. When I got into the Lexus GS, I felt like I had taken a step back in time into the early 90's. It just wasn't a car I could get excited about. I'm sue the Lexus is quieter and all that, but it just wasn't for me. They're both great cars, though :)

Hence the hard take off. and as u can see the GS pulls back on it as u get through the gears because of having a bigger displacement and two more clinders... The GS was designed to be a luxury boat, not sports sedan. If u want a sport sedan, should have waited and bought an M56.

All Lexus GS460's imported into the Middle East are detuned to 325hp. The reason is commercial.

Due to Sulphur content in our fuel, all DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) cars like LS460 had to be detuned which would have brought performance in line with the GS460 which is EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection)

So they had to detune the GS460 for this reason.

Check your information, the new G (2007-up) were better produced than before and it's not a plastic car. Also, the engine is more powerful than before. It has 306hp and 268 ft-lbs and the weight difference with the G. Please update your knowledge.

I know that GS460 is more powerful than G35. However, GCC specs come with detuned engine that make the result normal.

@andreakatickles1 g35s coupe dont have the VQ35HR that this one has, also, coupes are heavier than sedans.. yes theres a lot of difference, from the engine to the exhaust.. besides GS460 are very heavy cars i think thats why from a dig it suffers more..

@Dani01c I come to find out that the GS 460s are detuned in the mideast. My gs460 is a beast from and dig and roll it comes with 342hp 8sp trani. (usa version). Check out some of my videos.

The G is way faster, sleeker, and outhandles the fat pig that is a Lexus 460. It does the quarter mile in the mid 14's. Get out of here with that bullshit. I just took out my friends 08' G35S for a ride. The entire interior is soft touch leather and brushed aluminum. I am selling my GS350 and getting a 2011 G37S Sedan as my second car. I hate the overly light steering, the slow responding (in manual mode) transmission and it is no nicer than the G37 on the inside. Both are nice cars but, when my two year lease is up on the GS I am happily getting a new G37. It does everything better than my GS350.

The GS is the better car.....but im guessin it weighs more (bigger engine, larger car) so that makes it slow of the start.

But run from a rolling start the V8 will eat the v6.
