Just throwing out a percentage is a distraction. It's the HOW and WHEN they voted together that should have been driven home.
From all that I saw, Mumpower was not a good candidate at all. Had he been running against a long-time entrenched incumbent like David Price, I wouldn't care. But his disastrous campaign has allowed Shuler to firmly entrench himself, and set himself up as a strong challenger to higher office.
We need to find someone a heck of a lot better next time.
