I heard that Google planned to delete all YouTube accounts that are not linked to a Google account.

@Nathan173AB You can change it to a Google E-Mail account.

I remember that my YouTube account used to be linked to my original Microsoft Hotmail address; a short while after creating my GMail account, one day I accidentally changed it to that - I don't think you can change it back - but it allows you to change it to being linked to a GMail account :P
