  • Fox News was the only cable news network that didn't air this commercial. I would guess that would be because the oil tycoon and prince of Saudi Arabia is the second largest shareholder of Fox News Corp.

And Fox claims ownership of supporting US soldiers. Talk about Orwellian...

  • Funny thing is most of our oil doesn't come from places like Iran. Support protectionism, so we can fight more wars. Terrorist hate us for our freedoms. The freedom to kill non-europeans.

  • Where is the "green" push for clean, efficient and safe nuclear power?

    Chappaquiddick - 1

    Three Mile Island - 0

  • lmao oil is the money source? think harder you war mongering dopes. it's the DRUG TRADE. oh and the cia is a big farmer of it over there in the eastern poppy fields

  • Why should I care about the mercenaries we send to Iraq?

Because that's all our military is anymore. Hired goons to shoot folks annoying the powers that be.

Sure we pretty it up so they seem to have more character than the pyschos from Goodfellas, but there's no moral difference, except maybe the delusional intent of some of our "finest".

  • 1. Like I'm going to listen to this dupe who was foolish enough to risk his life in a senseless murder campaign.

    2. Even if I were to listen to him, why is it that it's either foreign oil OR "clean energy" instead of drilling here? Because this is just the greenies attempting to get the warmonger vote.

  • Electricity is not a substitute for oil. Electricity is already much cheaper than oil, if it was convenient to replace oil with electricity you'd be seeing electric vehicles everywhere.

The reality is that batteries need to get a lot cheaper and a lot more durable before electric vehicles will be a good idea.

  • Bullshit!!!!!

  • Ah, those big bad tarrists! Be afraid, be very afraid, your rulers want it no other way.

Sure this ad is a crock, but ya gotta admit it should do a good job scaring the shiite outta the sheeple.

  • woops, I think I just threw-up in my mouth a little-bit.

    Propaganda does that too me.

  • what a crock of sh!t

Maybe, just maybe foreigners don't like that we have our military spread throughout the world on their sovereign countries and that we fund puppet govts that oppress their citizens.

  • What a bunch of racist bullshit.

Don't buy oil! It gives the evil brown people money!

Global trading promotes world peace. Trying to be self-sufficient will result in disaster.

Look at Japan. They have zero natural resources. They trade with everyone and are a far more peaceful country than we are.

I hope this thug gives up his dependence on foreign oil, and goes and lives in the woods to leave the rest of us alone.

  • Remember, if you're toeing the government line, you're supporting terrorists. :P

  • My fellow Americans, we must end our dependence on foreign coconuts!

The future depends on it, comrades!

  • Oh, great idea. Let's end our dependence on foreign oil. Then why we are at it let's also end our dependence of foreign bananas. I mean really just look at all the money we lose to Guatemalan's every day just to eat their great yellow fruit. Plus the Guatemalan's hate Americans. We would be much better off having the government build greenhouses all over America, (job creator), and subsidize the production of bananas. Maybe in 10-20 years we can be self-sufficient, just like North Korea.

  • Remember that ad about how buying drugs meant supporting the terrorists?

    This smells just the same...

  • These 32 seconds succinctly cover the entire spectrum of evil that is Boobus Americanus: from the snide milfare queens to the impudent economic commissars.

Oil is a fungible good. But Boobus has no reasoning power to conclude that that means there's no such thing as "foreign" oil.

  • Ummm, about 70% of our oil comes from Canada. So why not just buy more from them? Matt and Trey Parker aside, Canadians are really all that bad. I kinda doubt they will funnel it to terrorists through secret networks to fund those forces killing American military persons who just happen to be standing around handing out candy in Afghanistan.

  • screw all milfare rats, including the ignorant.

  • Revisionist history is sometimes more exciting then novels!

  • How about we stop our decades-long campaign of murdering innocent civilians in the middle east? If the oil money dries up, they'll just make more heroin. Of course, they were blaming American citizens for financing terrorists through buying drugs too. Just another stupid campaign like this one - attack the symptoms rather than the disease which is the U.S. foreign policy that has murdered more foreign civilans than the terrorists could ever dream of killing.

  • @jscott2700 I might add to this...In the 1849 gold rush the one group of people that always got wealthy...the guys that manufactured or sold the picks , shovels , and other essential gear.Like then our Oil money problem starts right here in the USA.GE and a few other super companies have most of the patents and ownership somewhere along the way in all things involving oil starting with the search for it all the way to the end user's polluting ecsesses.Go green individually.Trickle up

  • Yes, because we should be stealing money from American citizens to prop up costly and inefficient sources of energy through means of the US government, one of the most tyrannical murderous institutions in the globe. Secondly these points are tied closely to the dangerous message passed by these American imperialists, global warming is not man-made and we don't need "action" by the lunatic Congress " to do something about it" and protectionism is the road to a lower standard of living.

  • How will Cap and Tax replace foreign oil? Does VoteVets know that 60% of our electricity is produced from coal--which America has in massive abundance--yet the Cap and Tax bill practically bans coal production? How does Cap and Tax replace foreign oil with American-drilled oil, since Obama is stopping and and all new drilling projects?

Another really despicable ad which does not represent the opinions of most troops, yet speaks in their name on behalf of radical interests.

  • @DefendGlenn Even if we started drilling here in the US, it's effects would be minimal. Energy efficiency, sustainable energy sources, and hybrid energy consumption is the only way to radically change our addiction to foreign oil.

  • What a crap commercial - who made this for you, Fox News? You can advocate for clean energy without lowering yourselves to racist scaremongering. Shame on you.

  • Fox news would never make this comercial, It doesn't suck up to the petroleum companies

  • Bernie Sanders (I VT) has submitted a bill that would provide 50% rebates to homeowners who install solar panels and solar hot water heaters.

The projected cost of $30 billion would produce the same amount of electricity as 30 nuclear power plants.

Consider the fact that under the bill the residential units would all come on line within ten years.

Compare that to the fact that in ten years none of the nuclear power plants would be on line yet, and their cost would be over $300 BILLION!

  • Ethanol breaks the back of foreign oil.

  • Ethanol adds to our pollution and causes are cars to burn even more oil.

I for one lost 3 miles per gallon from 18 to 15 average in my truck, that is 17% MORE FUEL I AM USING NOW than before Ethanol was added.

You do the math, Ethanol is a HUGE mistake that is costing us big.

  • Biobutanol is superior to bioethanol.

The most important reason to not make fuel out of food crops is because we need food crops for food, not for fuel.

A better crop to use is algae. It can be grown on roof tops, not corn fields. Plus it can be harvested daily, not once a year all at once, thus creating an expensive storage problem.

It would not be expensive to convert ethanol production facilities from food crops to algae. But we have to overcome the big agriculture lobby.

  • @RawFoodKevin That, or use the parts of the corn that we dont eat... like from cellulosic ethanol.
