what really annoys me abou this, is that cameron can't even pronounce nantwich properly. see timpson has done a lot since he got in, we wont see him now till theres another election
Hey p4eugeot... how are you. Nice too see you making hypocrisy an art form. You're telling me to get a life, when it's you who trolls the internet looking for people to insult. Take your own advice.
At least this Tory video is allowing free speech comments. I put a comment on one of the Dunwoody ravings - it was held for 'checking' & then disappeared. Probably because I commented that Tamsin Dunwoody was only 'one of us' if we were all ex Welsh assembly members - had a 5 or 8 acre estate in Wales - and an entry in Debretts because one of our relations was a Baroness. Which I said rather made a nonsense of the C&N Labour 'Tory Toff' campaign. Congrats to Edward Timpson.
If you aregiong tomake a contribution to these pages please make comments worthy of reply,A person regardless of their facial appearence cannot and should not be judged on it,no wonder your party is called the !nasty pary! I hope tories are proud of you.
Tamsin Dunwoody was found out to be the hypocrite she is. ''One of us.'' If that was the case, every person was Crewe and Nantwich would have a baroness as a grandmother, have a large country estate, and live 200 miles away from the constituency she claims to represent. Edward Timpson is great. His family have worked hard for their wealth and deserve the praise they get. Timpson has worked for children from broken homes. Tamsin is just another Labour puppet, who looks slightly like a fish.
you're right..Labour are the NASTY party..no other party would have sunk so low with those smears..what a horrible party..pure nastiness..the sooner this horror show of a government are out and this farce of a PM is out the better..we need Cameron desperately
Labour are just as right wing as the tories,in fact some tory policies are to the left of labour, how far right are you hoping you go? liberal, labour, and tories hold absolutely no interest what ever to me there's no difference, And when people realise this we might be able to move on
Communist policies? come on talk sense, where on earth are the communist policies? Tax wasted you don't mention the tax evading tories,47 billion last year in unpaid taxes, enough to double the stste pension, can you address this? Terrorism stems from the iraq war which you supported, scotts dictating english policies? yes please go on I don't believe you can be thast naive or too right wing, try reading a decent paper instead of the mail, can I suggest er er the independent
I absolutely cannot see how people can be taken in by Cameron. All this 'good bloke' stuff he does is such teeth-grindingly crass PR.. he may as well go around with a cap that says 'good bloke' on it. Muppets.. he insults your intelligence and you guzzle it down like swine. It's the Blair effect - the Tories and Lib Dems have done away with the credible politicians who might have led them in a serious way, and replaced them with tenth-rate car salesmen. If Labour put up Purnell I'll vomit blood.
It says something about a countries people when they can't wait tovote their own human rights poicy out!Don't want 48 hours work time directive, etc and then they want theright to have a voteon the lisbon treaty! I wonder how many of them have actually read it? All lead like fuckin' sheep by forieners who own the press and pay not one penny intax ,strange to say the least whe will they ever learn. Come back Arthur Scargill all is forgiven
A man after my own heart, replace one tory government with another-why? what do think is going to happen?lantern jaw will be by far the most right wing prick this country will ever witness believe me,He's showing his soft side untill elected, and then its time to run for the hills!mind you that's all that has ever happened in the last 50 years, like a pendulem vote one out, vote one in, vote one out, vote one in,The working class will never learn
Why on Earth, if you don't like New Labour - quite understandably - would you vote Tory? The closest mainstream party to Labour is Lib Dem. If you used to vote Labour, and now they're too right wing.. for fuck's sake. Don't vote in these simpering arseholes. Please. Here in London we now have a fuckwit Tory mayor - apparently purely because he's 'a laugh', and will let people drive hum-vees through the city centre with impunity. No-one can come up with a reason that isn't selfish or half-baked.
Well.. I don't believe in the concept of 'bad' language. I suppose I'm not a product of the fifties. If there's one (otherwise vulgar) thing the Brits can pull off better than anybody it's swearing. Listen to Christopher Hitchens speak on religion and tell me swearing detracts from his oratory. The idea that we should go down the Daily Mail, Mary Whitehouse route - when so many of our best speakers have been drunken, ranting, prolific swearers - is humourless, dehumanised, retrograde arsewater
Having said this, I will agree that the comment in which I do swear is hardly eloquent - far from it - but is the product of a rather jaundiced, late-night, wine-filled realisation that people are going to vote Tory in two years, by the million, without the slightest idea why. Perhaps that sort of thing brings out the truculent child in me.
the reason why is that they now realise that this crass government is morally and intellectually bankrupt and are bent on destroying this country with their communist policies; crime is out of control, hundreds of billions of tax just wasted, mass untrolled immmigration, terrorism, social mobility going backwards, 24 hour drinking, vandalised pension system, the UK being broken up, Scots and Welsh MPs dictating polciy in England.....need I go on
Thanks, at last a sensible comment, and without bad language, from someone else who can see what's happening to our country under "New Labour".
The Conservatives aren't ideal at the moment, but perhaps with confidence, they could be brave enough to adopt the policies required to challenge the PC brigade and the others who have brought Great Britain to the edge of oblivion.
Labour are a shower of right wing shite I wouldn't vote labour if my life depended on it. On the bebefits, its more than obvious you have never been on them or you wouldn't print such nonesense
I've twice been on unemployment benefit (for what it was worth) when I had no work, with a wife and two young kids to support. It was a struggle. When I found a job, it took a long time (years) to pay off the overdraft and get back to having a few treats. We just had to go without and plan very carefully as there was no other way.
I can't remember how much we got, not much. We still somehow had to pay our own electricity and gas though. Mum and Dad helped when they could. I'm now in my 60s and on a small pension, Mum & Dad no longer with us.
Had to hock the little terrace we had to the bank to cover the interest on the mortgage.
I just went round looking for a job until I got one.
Everyone has to pay their utility bills, but you made out we get generous benefits, I'm still at a loss as to how you can make this claim with justification.
yes I live in liverpool! I try to get by with dented tins from aldi etc,in the winter when it gets bad I normally put my uncles army coat over us fo keep warm.enjoy your evening and don't worry about me. I have my 90 year mum with me at the moment to keep me company although with alsimers its a little bit hard holding a conversation, must go I've got to take the christmas decorations down,I'll keep in touch.and thanks again for your kind considerations
How can woking class people be so stupid as to say "i'm going to vote tory this time" What on earth do they think ther'e going to get off lantern jaw? He'll make thatcher look like thelady with the lamp.make no mistake.
If one wanted to leave a comment on the Crewe and NantwichO8 Labour You Tube site, it was vetted before publication, indeed if it was published at all. I just made a comment on this WEBCAMERONUK and it was published immediately within seconds, regardless if it was supportive or not.
As the saying goes you deserve to get the MP you voted for. It's such a shame because the poor working class people now no longer have an elected representative for their interests. The rich and the upper classes are more than able to look after themselves.
Have all you people got such short memories you cant remember how bad things were under Thatcher and her Tories? If you wanted to protest the Lib Dems would've been much better. Brown is doing some job of making Cameron actually look good.
Thatcher saved our country from imminent collapse, just in time.
We are now in a similar position with New Labour, and I only hope that Cameron has the toughness and honesty to do what's required when he becomes PM. Yes, I admit he's not ideal at the moment, but he get the message over the next years or so.
The Lib Dems are by nature middle of the road woolies. A bit like Val Doonican was. (Sorry Val).
Many congratulations Mr Timpson, Mr Cameron and everyone in Crewe and Nantwich! The local area has chosen an MP who will do it proud and as long as we Conservatives keep putting forward our message of progressive change we should soon be able to give Britain a PM who will do it proud.
This video outlines why Conservative should definatly win this by-election! They show professionality within both their campaign and their presentation, just take a look at the labour video puplications, they are poor and outline garbage.
I would urge the good people of Crewe and Nantwich to not vote for the Blue branch of the Lib/Lab/Con party. They really are not fundamentally different to Labour. Blue Labour will keep Britain in the EU so we can't rule ourselves and thus we wouldn't be able to do anything about mass immigration from EU countries ect and they won't properly crack down on crime.
In the absence of a BNP candidate, I would vote UKIP as at least they want Britain to rule itself.
This is tantamount to blackmail from the Labour candidate and she knows it. She clearly thinks that because this is her late mother's constituency she has free reign to play the class card, thankfully I'm far from alone in seeing through her crass cynicism.
Look - how many times do i have to re-iterate this - they're all shite!!! And everyones rabbiting on about Labours slander tactics - a tactic in itself etc. If any of you sincerely gave a fuck about this place you'd fuck over any of the candidates (locally and nationally) and somehow get something new started like - might i add 'jeanandpaul' is!!! Yes in the early stages but something will come out next time around. Might be too late though Paul by then. :( doooooooooooooomed!
He doesn't sound like a `Tory toff' to me. Tamsin Dunwoody's smear campaign is a disgrace. Her dad was a GP and her mum an MP. £100,000 plus in family income puts her in the very well off category to the rest of us poor sods on average or less than average income. So who's the hypocrite `toff' in reality? Does she think Crewe is some sort of hereditary fiefdom?
Dunwoody's campaign is an utter disgrace - just as Ken did in London she is more interested in rubbishing "posh" Tories than taking the area she represents to a better place. Is she seriously saying because someone is moneyed they are unfit to lead? What if they were black? Or Asian? Or gay? Would that make them unfit to lead as well? It's high time that locally and nationally the arrogant, spiteful and small minded party was kicked out - give them time to reflect on their mistakes.
I sincerely hope the voters in this by-election see right through one of the most disgusting left-wing smear campaigns in recent history. Timpson is a decent guy who has been attacked simply because he is a success. That should tell every right thinking person in this country what Labour really stands for - petty, spiteful class envy and small-minded bigotry.
It's a shame the BNP doesn't have a candidate standing. At least they would STOP immigration, kick out the ILLEGALS and take Britain out of the EU. All the CON Party will do is reduce the numbers coming in a by a little but not the ones from the EU countries as they are committed to Britain being ruled by the EU. The BNP have an HONEST policy of taking Britain out and not the farcical nonsense of 'in Europe but not run by Europe'.
And what about all this wasted paper, time and money. I've recieved one labour leaflet - dozens of lib dem leaflets etc and likewise with tori's. Half the people of crewe and natwich probably dont recycle - and no offence but half of em dont care or have the brains - so well done to those over excessive candidates with leaflets etc.
everyone has forgotten about the tori's of the 80's. High interest rates of 15% and what used to get manufactured in this country is no longer here - the clothes industry, mass unemployment. They'll do anything to fuck us all over and i dont agree with any other party either. We need a revelution. BTW - why was blair and his cash for...goons, lord goldsmith (head of enquiry) and the toris all at a sky news presenters wedding. all friends. Its all an act and a con.
Vote Conservative..and punish this horror show of a Government and the fact that the Labour Party has turned into the 'Nasty Party'..the vicious, malicious campaign of the Labour Party has been a disgrace..Labour doesn't care about the working class..we all saw that with the 10p tax rate fiasco..and this Prime Minister is a farce..he only cares about himself, not the country..and he's useless
My family coped well under the tories during the 80's and we made an average wage, that's what i remember. We could afford a house, afford to drive, food bills were pretty good and crime was quite low. Now, i have to ride a bicycle, 2 people were stabbed on my road last year and food bills are going through the roof, so you my friend are talking crap.
Im sick of this current by-election campaign, where the substance in the political messages? Its apparent its just a slanging match and the biggest bully will win, this isnt leadership, this is a joke.
I dont want any part in electing a party who stands for nothing but themselves.
I have no choice, because I have no power, no serious money, but people wont stay blind forever, people will see through these broken promises, see through the corruption and scandal, see through the fact that all the power in the country is concentrated in two sets of ideologies. The equality and diversity of this country will see through these flaws.
People need to step back and look at the picture thats been drawn for them in the UK and developed world in general. (I use the word DEVELOPED hesitantly).
good luck timpson we need a person with convictions and not a name to run crewe. Labour are driving me round the bend just watching them cling to power in the most obscene ways is digusting bring on a tory government!
Nantwich - usually a nice town - far better than Crewe - that is until the Jazz festival etc appears. I've been to one so called 'blues' fest and its just a bunch of young people and adults getting wasted. Yeah its good for the economy of Nantwich, especially now pubs are closing coz of the smoking ban but when I went, about 5 police cars were there and lots of scrapping which will have cost the local economy quite abit no doubt in either hospital treatment or policing. Any ideas to combat it?
Can i also re-iterate that my dad works for Bombardier (Formerly known as Crewe works and various other names) and labour (Dunwoody senior - rip) did alot to keep that open... yeah, alot of jobs have gone but its still there. What will Mr Timpson be able to do for what was once the heartbeat of our dear town?
Thanks again and i promise this is my last post. :)
Hmmm, What this country needs is a kick up the backside - sod this terrible PR war crap we have!!! We need a reveloution more than anything. I'd like to ask mr Timpson a question though. Who are his clients as a lawyer (not the names obviously). I'd like to know what kind of cases you have been involved with (not specifically but the types) and the types of people. Also - where have labour gone wrong?
how come Labour's candidate is the daughter of the former MP? Does Labour operate a hereditary priciple now? Like Tony Benn, Hilary Benn eh? So much for opportunity for all and all that
Stanley Johnson was a politician before Boris, its not as if the Conservative Party have tried to coax Stanley into being a politician like the Labour Party have with Dunwoody's daughter and Hilary Benn, who were both asked by the Labour Party to join and were given advantages because of their bloodlines.
Best of luck Edward. Labour are running a shameful campaign by stooping to crass class-based slurs. It is desperate and I hope the electors of C&N will see through it.
We're all done for mate whoever wins. Firstly, your lot doomed us with privatisation etc and now labour have done it with what i call an endless list. The whole world economy is done for (as i predicted several years ago).
No one will be able to clean up this mess...
As for Crewe and nantwich - i think its possible Mr Timpson can help but I'm looking at the bigger picture. Sure i love my community despite it being a hole but i'd rather see things change all together. But it wont. Same old
i like this guy and i really hope he wins, the labour "toff" attacks are going to badly backfire as he is obviously a decent, normal person, not twisted with hate and bitterness, not ranting at the electorate like the labour folk are.
It would be fantastic if the Tories could take Crewe and Nantwich..it's been despicable the way Labour have tried to make it into a class war..even a Labour MP said it didn't work..could you imagine the scandal if it was the other way round
Mr Timpson should be an excellent MP for Crewe and Nantwich as he represents a party that promises real change in the areas that cause them concern: tackling crime and helping people through this difficult economic period. We Conservative's shouldn't look at this as just another chance to trounce Mr Brown, but rather a chance to give Crewe and Nantwich an MP who will stand for what the people want and need in Parliament. Battering the PM will simply be a pleasant by-product!
Good God I hope he wins the by-election that would be the kick in the teeth for Gordan Brown. Watched you today Mr Cameron on PMQ's glad to see you are bringing the people's issues. Mr Brown says you have no substance well at the moment that is all he is saying change the record. Britain needs a change and Conservatives are the way forward. I would like to hear from you Mr Cameron as a 15 year old boy seriously interested in politics, i think i would learn from you.
Damn nice guy this, just like his bro ..can't drink Guinness though!..

Does she think Crewe is some sort of hereditary fiefdom?
sickofscum 3 years ago 4

A success made from other peoples missery, which if society was governed properly wouldnt have led to his success.

Oh I see. Karl Marx is alive and kicking. Read the last sentence of what I said, then go and take a look in the nearest mirror.

DavidBeckam1000 3 years ago
And what about all this wasted paper, time and money. I've recieved one labour leaflet - dozens of lib dem leaflets etc and likewise with tori's. Half the people of crewe and natwich probably dont recycle - and no offence but half of em dont care or have the brains - so well done to those over excessive candidates with leaflets etc.
hashbrownman 3 years ago
everyone has forgotten about the tori's of the 80's.

Its apparent its just a slanging match and the biggest bully will win, this isnt leadership, this is a joke.
jeanandpaul 3 years ago

Any ideas to combat it?
hashbrownman 3 years ago
Nice to see Nantwich go a full 3 seconds in this.
They only seem to mention Crewe AND Nantwich or just Crewe, Never Nantwich on it's own.

Also - where have labour gone wrong?
thanks.

how come Labour's candidate is the daughter of the former MP? Does Labour operate a hereditary priciple now? Like Tony Benn, Hilary Benn eh? So much for opportunity for all and all that

Well I heard Boris' father might be seeking the Tory nomination for the Henley By-election so it seems the nepotism goes both ways
CrazedRaven01 3 years ago
Stanley Johnson was a politician before Boris, its not as if the Conservative Party have tried to coax Stanley into being a politician like the Labour Party have with Dunwoody's daughter and Hilary Benn, who were both asked by the Labour Party to join and were given advantages because of their bloodlines.
aubenhairything 3 years ago
Oh, I didn't know that about Dunwoody's daughter, thank you for the insight
CrazedRaven01 3 years ago
Best of luck Edward. Labour are running a shameful campaign by stooping to crass class-based slurs. It is desperate and I hope the electors of C&N will see through it.

Effective video from a nice guy. He'll make a great MP. Don't vote for Brown.

If Timpson wins Crewe and Nantwich, Brown is done for!
Medeasbiggestfan 3 years ago
We're all done for mate whoever wins. Firstly, your lot doomed us with privatisation etc and now labour have done it with what i call an endless list. The whole world economy is done for (as i predicted several years ago).
No one will be able to clean up this mess...
As for Crewe and nantwich - i think its possible Mr Timpson can help but I'm looking at the bigger picture. Sure i love my community despite it being a hole but i'd rather see things change all together. But it wont. Same old
hashbrownman 3 years ago
i like this guy and i really hope he wins, the labour "toff" attacks are going to badly backfire as he is obviously a decent, normal person, not twisted with hate and bitterness, not ranting at the electorate like the labour folk are.
littlepumpkin1502 3 years ago
It would be fantastic if the Tories could take Crewe and Nantwich..it's been despicable the way Labour have tried to make it into a class war..even a Labour MP said it didn't work..could you imagine the scandal if it was the other way round
steps1 3 years ago 4
