@ts0yep That's because that Camry is made more in the US, then your Fusion is. The Ford Fusion shares parts and the same platform as it's Japanese subsidiary Mazda. The Toyota Camry is built almost entirely in America.
I own a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport. Extremely fun car to drive. The Sport exterior package is a very slick looking option. The leather seats inside fit like a glove. It is ridiculously flawless! Best car I ever owned period! GO FORD!
I have to say this car is superb! I rented one and drove it 2500 kilometers through the mountains and it was flawless passing vehicles on the highway, great interior features as well.
Of course, people from all over the world hold stocks of Ford, just as they hold stocks in Toyota. Both Ford and Toyota are multi-national corporations. Ford is called an American company because it's currently based in America and Toyota a Japanese company because it's based in Japan. Both America and Japan are both subsidiaries of the UN and thus share the same economy system.
Since it's based in america, they have more factories here. So they employ more americans. So then they can buy more products to help other companies. Even if you think they dont care about usa, they still provide thousands of jobs to americans.
Most of Ford's shareholders and bondholders are Chinese people. I'm Chinese and I partly own Ford by holding Ford shares. Ford is owned more by China than by America. Ford is based in America, so it's called an American company. This doesn't mean anything anymore since Ford also has headquarters in China. I'm pretty sure Ford has more factories outside America, though I could be wrong. Double check on it.
Ford, as with Toyota, are global car companies. But lets get real here, Ford is as American as apple pie. Toyota is a japanese brand, pure and simple. Both have factories around the globe. BTW, Ford has a Canadian headquarters, but I'm still very sure it's not a Canadian company!
Countries don't mean shyt anymore! Globalization has turned Earth into a freaking village. Do you know how long it takes to travel between China and the USA? A mere few HOURS! That's right, about the same amount of travelling time between cities just a few centuries ago. America, China, all the same country IMO. Their economies are so closely linked they are interdependent on one another! Welcome to the Jewish NWO, pal!
I can't believe ford is still making this fusion.... and also I am very disappointed about the new Taurus... they should bring the Mondeo and get it over with once and for all...
the mondeo wont be coming to america anytime soong have you seen the new 2010 Taurus? thats what the mondeo would of been have it came here.......im not gonna complain the fusion and taurus is a knock out....good job ford.
Very interesting alternative in the family V-6 haulers in sportier drab. Primary competition I bet is the 6s Grand Touring, Camry SE V-6, and the Altima 3.5SE. Very handsome front end.
Its main trump card will probably be the available AWD, which the said products don't offer for any price, leaving you with the 2010 Legacy and perhaps the 2010 LaCrosse if you want AWD for roughly 30 large.
Reminiscent of an old honda accord in the back mixed up with a deja vu of chevy malibu and a failed attempt of german japanized 'new' straight lines. The name Fusion is totally appropriate for this car. Middle name: random, Last name: eclectic.
I went with the fusion and havent had any problems at all. Then again my folks camry cant say the same. But what the hell its a camry ,right,LOL

I'm impressed with the looks. Ford has stepped up to the plate and made a great car, but I would still go with an Accord or Camry.

buy american!!!!, the money stays in the country
ren2370 2 years ago
There are many other ways to help America. I still wouldn't want to buy a vehicle that has had a long history of being unreliable and cheaply made.
