@nivarox1 well when 3 meters of snow start to melt they absorb all the dirt in the air, and 3 meters is a lot, it takes months to melt, thus they absorb a lot of dirt. you can see black snow in every big city in the world where it snows. just because norilsk is much snowier than any normal city is the snow dirtier and blacker. i guarantee that life there is just as good as in any western city, only the climate sux
