Listened to this recording as it played on Chicago radio while I tooled along Lake Shore Drive in my Marina blue Chevy Impala in the summer of 1966. Ahh...those were thye days. Thanks for the post. By the way, I also still have the "Rain Forest" LP and I play it all the time.

In the USA, Walter Wanderley had been called "The best thing imported from Brazil since coffee!" The entire LP record Rain Forest is a masterpiece!!!

p.s. Roger Williams also recorded an excellent version of Summer Samba, on the LP called "Born Free".

Thanks for the video! Great stereo and one of the best tunes of all time! I always liked Walter Wanderley's arrangement the most. Great to see all of the album covers, I have some of them too. I was fortunate to hear Walter play several times in a small club in San Francisco in the late 1970's, a place called Le Montemarte. No cover charge and he was sometimes joined by the group Viva Brasil. peace thru great music...

Don't worry about people that don't like this music.....to bad so sad for them....The B3 Hammond is still desired by current musicians which they probably don't know. I loved this song when it came out in 1967 and always wondered who put it out. Thanks for posting it!!!!!!
