Hey there again! Now I got my own Yak54. First I practise a LOT with the FMS, then I started flying..pretty scary at the beginning because of the things you said :P But it goes pretty good!!:D I'm really happy with it and the tricks some easely! Now I want to buy another battery for longer flight time! Still: thanx for everything! Greetz!
great video!!! I'm thinking of get myself a yak 54=) When it is standard, is it able of doing all of these tricks? because I saw some wierd things at the credits. Can you please let me know?! hope to hear form you soon! Greetz!
It depends on how you define 'standard'! I use a cheap 20gr BL-Outrunner with 2S-Lipos. DO NOT TRY TO USE A BRUSHED MOTOR IN THIS KIND OF AIRPLANE!!!! You won't be satisfied!
My servos weigh 5gr and cost about 20 Euros/piece. I only use one servo on the aileron, because i think it's more than enough!
By the way: those tricks come from my fingers, not from the plane's setup! ;)
Thanx mate! Still a few questions. What's a lipo exactly? Why not use a brushed motor? & what's a servo? Aileron, what's that? Sorry I'm not that professional as you can see =) Could you explain me these things? Hope so! Greetz! Keep up the good work! ^^
Have you ever flown a RC-plane? If not, I wouldn't buy this to start with!!!!!! Believe me, you won't be satisfied with this one, because you would NOT be happy with it!
I have a Silverlit Air Acrobat, it's nice and all but i want more...This one is only able to do loops. I've also flown a bigger one of a friend of mine. Why exactly woeldnt I be satisfied? Greetz!
You can't compare the yak to any kind of silverlit-TOYS (which i wouldn't ever call RC-airplanes!)! The yak is NOT ready to fly when you buy it! You have to know how to build it and in addition: there you have to control not only throttle and rudder! You have to control throttle, rudder, elevator and aileron! So if you don't have any experience on RC-flying (which you definetaly haven't!), you better forget this idea of buying such a plane! Find a club in your region and let them teach you!
hmm damn...ok. What do you recommend me then? the yak is an RTF model right? it's called that way on the site...It also has a flight simulation which you can link to your pc. Isn't that not enough te practise and learn how to fly these RC airplanes? My silverlit-toy has a throttle and rudder. what's a elevator & aileron then? (my english isn't always that good, I'm from Holland)
Aileron are control-surfaces on the wing to make the airplane roll, elevator is the horizontal control-surface on the tail! If you really want to start RC-flying i recommend you to buy a Multiplex EasyStar or EasyGlider-combo! Look it up on the internet! And no, the Yak is definetaly NOT RTF!!!! You have to know a lot about how to built such planes! I also would recommend you to buy a book to find out how an airplane works, flies and so on!
Thanx mate, I might think it over then. I've got almost the money together and I really want to do something then just fly around.. Soon or later I want to do air stunts. I really appriciate all your messages! I'll let you know when i bought a RC plane. Greetz!
Hey there, sorry for bothering you agaian. Do you know the Art Tech Edge? Can you tell me more about that one? The wings of the Yak, are they made from polystyreen? Where do you buy parts for the yak if you'd ever crash? I think i'm stubborn... Let me know please. Greetz!
Pretty cool video.
