  • FINAL BOSS IS APPEARED

    YOUR HP IS 15

    THIS SONG START PLAYING

  • EPICNESS

  • My first song of them lol. Simone is awesome. :)

  • This is so fucking awesome.

  • 5:24 Damn, this voice at this seconds, i jizz in my pants.

  • I like the nice little guitar solo. It's not just going up and down the scale... well, mostly anyways.

  • I saw Epica live almost a year a go. That was the first time I met my boyfriend and now we are happy together. We hope that Epica comes back to the US soon because we want to this band live again.

  • AWESOME VIDEO! WANT TO BE BLOWN AWAY? THEN GO TO MY CHANNEL TO WATCH THIS AMAZING VIDEO AND LISTEN TO THE MOVING MASTERPIECE SONG THE LIGHT THAT MAKES IT GREAT!

  • So Fucking Metal

  • @volkolova

You're crazy. She's the core of the song.

  • @volkolova what's the logic in there if She is the lead singer of the band?! :D:::::

  • @ThroesOfDawn dont worry is my opinion many ppl misinterprets

    (sorry for my english)

  • @volkolova Son, it makes it original lol. Why you want bands to sound the same.

  • @volkolova i think you're the only person in the world that dislikes simone's voice....

  • @volkolova Lose strength?? her voice has power and helps bring the songs to life...maybe mainstream garbage where the vocals are fixed entirely with computers is more your taste bitch.

  • @FrozenSun29 yes.. lose strenght, i said i like THIS SONG but i dislike when simone sings, only that, i didn´t say i dont like or dislike her voice as say the other one....

i didn´t say i want bands to sound the same as say the other one, i didn´t say i like mainstream if so would not listen Epica beacuse is too

  • Magnifica est, Ave vobis! :D

  • DAAMN, this song is sick

  • 3:19 None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free- Fuck capitalism.

  • @SheldonKooper666 move to cuba, which means you'll first have to move out of your parent's basement.

  • @totallyasimpsonjunki why would i move to Cuba? I'm not a communist just because i am against capitalism...

  • @SheldonKooper666

LOL I think that quote is meant for the people living in totalitarian communistic countries who think they are free, even as they are dragged off to the gulog, because they have "collective" freedom.

  • Why is Enya in the suggested videos, get the fuck out of here.

  • Great song!!! *.* <3

  • isso eh muito ruim....

dificil de ouvir, praticamente uma punheta sonora!!

  • @Motaba11 ruim é a tua cara

  • Aquí les dejo, iniciando mi viernes ñ_ñ día bueno para ustedes ^_^

  • Any `girls` here arguing about superficial , meaningless , trivial , subjective crap ?

    Yes ?

You know who you are !!!!!!

  • The beginning is the best of the song by far.

  • wait i found a glitch theres a dislike button wtf

  • @DubrinskyMikhail

Epica is a group.. Epica isn't only Mark or Simone.. Everybody contribute with different talents.. (I'm sorry for my English.. but I speaking Spanish.. and little English)

  • @MyDarkDoom

Just because you don't look like a metal type of person, doesn't mean you don't love it.

  • oh my... where the fuck has this music been all this time?? why have i never listened to these. fuck yeah

    5/5 \m/

  • i love her voice

  • Genial Song!

    (: 100% Epica --> Simons

  • @ZarithSimons ¡Jajaj! Epica is 75% Mark Jansen and 25% Simonne

  • @DubrinskyMikhail :/ hahahaha... I said.. I listen Epica 100%

:/ mmmm... Who provides the voice? for me the voice of Simone is admirable and worthy of recognition..

her VOICE IS THE MAIN ATTRACTION OF THE BAND..

  • @ZarithSimons

Who provides lyrics, compositions, experience? Simone's voice is very admirable but it is not unique, without Mark Jansen, Epica would not exist. Simone would not be known to you, either by me or by anyone.

  • Good memories when Design your Universe first came out. It was essentially the only album I listened to for a month!

  • Now THIS is what I call music.

  • @MyDarkDoom She's just a woman who loves being herself and she loves metal. And she sings like a godess.... Good enough for me! Plus she headbangs like hell. It's not about looks, metal is in the heart.

  • @MyDarkDoom so what? no matter if she "doesn't look like" a metal singer for you, she is

  • Great band. It's so fun to see epica grow, and goes on to do the same style. If you like their music, try listening to:

Capricia - Recline in the Fire or

    Capricia - Something's Wrong

    Might like it ;-)

  • Epica has a few good songs, but i dont like theire music in general. I like Marks project MaYan better, tbh. Anyways, the song is good!

  • i find it quite amazing how kids use the word"poser" that easily today,so how did u conclude epica is poser band??did u even bother listening??the fact that u dont like the band is something entirely diferent...it is called TASTE

  • 20 people think this is the download button...

  • Mark has one of the most awesome grunts I have ever heard.

  • @clintmmartin With all due respect for our shared religion, why are you posting this here? All you're doing, sadly, is contributing to prejudice against christianity.

  • Feels like Epica is kind of my secret epic band that few people has yet to discover!

  • No comparation!!!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i just found epica and im flashed...i love metal and epic music....epica is something between it but it compares styles of both... i loooove it ... epic+metal = epica = music which everyone loves...

  • Anyone who dislikes this song, needs to go butt rape themselves!

  • I must say this is a great album in every sense, but I still miss the atmosphere of sadness and sorrow of gothic bands. Epica is great, but it no longer has what I seek in this kind of music, seems it's time for me to say goodbye to them.

(Still great songs and I agree this could be Epica's best album so far).

  • @brookarsi but this isn't a gothic band, it's a symphonic metal band :)

  • Totally agree. I believed they would eventualy become gothic based in the false premise that their creative is Mark Jansen, but after this 4th album is clear they want to explore new paths; Interesting paths, but paths that I don't share anymore. You will have to excuse me, but it's unavoidable to compare AfterForevers first two albums with Epica, although I'm pretty aware is such a selfish and unfair comparison. * Hugs

  • @brookarsi Hey i don't have to excuse you at all xDD, if it's your opinion then so be it, but i'm glad that even though you don't like it, you are at least objective about it's art, i applaud you, there are not many people like you, you earned my respect :) \m/

  • @conspiractThEoRy840 Mark said he doesn't mind being called gothic, early Epica was a little gothic.

  • @brookarsi but which of their songs have what u seek?

  • You caught me. I'm afraid to say none of Epica's songs have it. I began to hear Epica hoping that their sound would eventually become darker and obscure, as in After Forever's albums: "Prision of Desire" and "Decypher", both of which I consider master pieces and big treasures.

But It was my mistake as I based my hopes only in the fact that Mark J. was the band's creative. Epica is great, but it's clear that they are not interested in taking back the A.F. direction, which is a flavor I enjoy more

  • @brookarsi After Forever is DARK? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! unny troll is either very funny or delusional.

  • @killerpeaches7 of course AF is dark, I'm talking about their first two albums. The atmosphere and the lyrics are truly depressing (unless you don't understand them). That's why they inspired many later gothic bands.

Now if you want to listen to something really deep and obscure, listen to EstaticFear (Somnium Obmutum or Somber dance), if you don't find that dark enough, I fear you just don't know what you are talking about or you are just babbling.

  • @fresagakusei or I listen to stuff a LOT darker than what you are willing to listen to. Pop on some Ancient or Tsvangeste, then get back to me on their "darkness".

  • @killerpeaches7 =3 I didn't knew those bands meow, I've just heard Tsvangeste and sounds good, but Ancient is kind of hard to find nya, Can you give me a couple of links to their videos?

    * hugs

  • @fresagakusei never have figures out how to post a video link one, so just type in "Ancient - Lilith's Embrace", and just folow whatever links you like from there.

  • @fresagakusei It was easy to under stand the lryics. Half of what Mark wrote had to do with religion. Why do you think they kicked him out. Hell 50% of Epica lryics deal with fundamentalism in religion. If not that then it deals with free speech, Mayan Philosophy or something else. Those are not dark or depressing lryics.

  • @brookarsi Uh? Epica has never been a gothic band to being with. There songs deal with religion, Mayan Philosophy, and Facade Of Reality is about 9/11. What does any of that have to do with the gothic scene?

  • 0:54 to 0:58 ; french misheard.

    "Et on s'en tape !"

  • Es realmente increíble cómo una melodía tan fantástica pudo haber sido concebida por una mente humana.

    Epica la rompe! ♥

  • As final touch God created the Dutch. So true, look at Epica and van Halen :D

  • This song is godness in JamLegend !

  • TO MORDOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweden have pretty much good Metal bands but we don't have any good Symponic one so thank you Netherlands for sharing this band with us. This is by far the best song i have heard!!

  • @Arwenbrand ummmm.... last time I checked.. there was this little band called THERION.. from Sweden, pretty much invented the whole Symphonic Metal concept....

  • @killerpeaches7 they weren't always Symphonic Metal to be fair though.

  • @Overture2152 Who, Therion? Very true, actually made halfway decent Death Metal too, but even by Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas in 1993, they were moving that way, marking them as one of the first serious players, and considered by pretty much all as probably the most important influence on the genre as a whole.

  • @killerpeaches7 Therion isn't a small band, is the best symphonic metal band, besides being the pioneer, better voices, best live presentations and more creativity, compositions and music!

  • @klahuss Really!?!?!?!? Wow I never would have known that! Did the sarcasm come through intact that time? I doubt there is anything of importance you could tell me about therion I don't already know, since I have been listening to them since 1993...... As for the rest of your comment, that would be totally SUBJECTIVE. Personally, I prefer Epica. And I did not know there was a meter for gauging creativity. I need to get one I guess. *rolls eyes*

  • @klahuss Really? Who says they are the best? Not ever one like them.

  • @Epica124 Therion is the best symphonic metal band IN THE WORLD!

    Epica is a poser band

  • @klahuss are you fucking retarded? Do you have idea what kind of work goes into this music? Epica aren't even that mainstream you're the fucking poser kid.

  • @klahuss kid you can't even type a coherent sentence, fuck off

  • @klahuss Dude if you had seen them live once, or met them once for that matter you would never dare to say that. They are an awesome band and they really are as good as they appear on cd. Oh and don't bother insulting people when your knowledge of correct spelling and grammar is that bad.

  • @Charlieparliee I've been on concert Epica, which is why I am saying, is terrible!

I'm not a fucking North American, so my grammar is bad!

  • @klahuss I have seen them live about five times and you might not like their music but that's taste, technically however their music is perfect. And I am not North American either moron, I'm Dutch, but still my grammar's fine. Not being a native speaker of English is no excuse for such incompetent use of language,

  • @klahuss Epica? A poser band? HAHAHAHAHA!

  • Comment removed

  • @Nuunuu1234 Too much, excessive, very poser, starting with the singer!

  • @klahuss such stupidity cant be described.......

  • @klahuss you're a human, deal with it.

  • @Arwenbrand but even while not symphonic you have great bands like draconian, deathstars etc.so u must be proud man :D

  • @gothicthorn3 Yeah, you've got a point there. Draconian and Deathstars are good band. But a symphonic one is something I have missed a couple of years now. So Even if we have Therion etc, I just haven't seen them as that good to like them as much as Epica :D

  • @Arwenbrand actually they're from the netherlands

  • @frostbiteinOhio Which is what i said.

  • This is EPIC Epica!! Very apt name I must say

  • wuhu !!!!^^

  • Not so subtle Marxist lyrics FTW! One of the overt and damning criticisms of America I've seen in a long time!

  • @Fiachra9357 I feel like such a retard, I could never figure out what this song was about. I figured it had something to do with the recession but that's as far as I could get

  • I can't wait til Sunday to see these guys! I'm so looking forward to it!

  • @VampRune i believe i saw u at the DNA lounge on sunday

  • @sabiansk8er No, wasn't me. I'm seeing Epica at Emo's in Austin on Sunday. Can't wait! I expect a great show from them!

  • Their name is not inaccurate!

  • i love it <3

  • SUCH AN AMAZING SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Awesome with big A!!!!

  • HOLY EFF! That intro was epic...a!

    See what I did there?

  • FYI---You can download this song for FREE at Amazon.....

  • I SAW THEM LAST NIGHT!!!!

  • Epica en Colombia.........!

  • Comment removed

  • yes, this group make interesant music helped by profis... I think that the lyrics are unfinished, they arrive not at the main problem's point, they are one step back from the solution, they are like teenagers, the way of thinkig is similar.

  • Metal and Classical are the most contradictory genres, but these guys put the two together in an amazing way

  • @xFLAMExREAPERx734x no, they're not actually.

  • @xFLAMExREAPERx734x I couldnt disagree more with you...

The way that Metal songs are written is very much like classical music writing.

The baselines, guitar riffs, are all metalized but a lot is recycled from classical music.

Listen to Epica's "Classical Conspiracy" if you really think metal and classical contradict.

  • @VC106893 Alright, so let me rephrase: Classical and metal are usually assumed to be contradicting by those who do not understand the way pieces are composed. And it's like green and red, the way they contrast. I guess that's the word I was trying to find. :D

  • @xFLAMExREAPERx734x To that, I, and probably everyone else can fully agree :)

  • @VC106893 Well... Maybe only a kind of metal: i don't think that groups like Amon Amarth are like classical music. There are so much kind of metal: in Italy we have a saying. It is "Non fare di tutta l'arba un fascio". It means: don't generalize. ; )

  • @ziachebeve I didnt say they are classical. I just said they had classical influences and patterns. At least thats what I meant. And I would agree with you that Amon Amarth isnt that influenced.

Ok I'll rephrase, "A lot of metal bands have classical inspiration and use music patterns borrowed from classical music"

  • Wow, Epica is fucking awesome, I never really listened to them before but wow.

    Mind = blown.

  • OMG! NOES! the intro just blew my mind away!

*listens to the rest of the song then goes to the hypermarket to buy replacements for the missing pieces of his brain*

  • this song was AMAZING live!

  • I saw Epica live few days ago, and I even got Marks autograph! :D My friend had to drag me to Mark because I started to chicken out. :''D well I't was MARK JANSEN...

  • I'm sure I've lost some hearing to this song, I love this band

  • Wow *.*

  • Great song.

  • I say them live saturday... WHOA ! *-*

  • Epica shouldn't have considered this a part of the A new age dawns series. That series was heavily orchestrated and a lot more melodic. This is just death metal all the way through, and it doesn't have the same element of classical.

  • this is what im talkin' bout, thumbs up

  • magnifique.......

  • F*cking awesome song!!!!!

  • So, this is where the word "epic" was derived from...

  • Awesome!! \,,/

  • wtf am i hearing

  • @FuselPub A goddess of music, a guy with one hell of a growl, and a couple masters of the good o'l axe.... You got a problem?

  • @FuselPub Amazing music.

  • holy shit her voice sounds better

  • If metal was a drug... i would envelope myself in this band. Make it my own personal addiction.

  • Men if someone knows how to play the part between the minute 043 and 1:13 in guitar, please let me know becouse I can't get it right = / .

  • Symphonic metal at his best.

  • 2:30 - So Incredible !

  • 0:43 - 1:13 rocks!!!

    marks grunts are amazing

  • @ninoiphone12 I'ts the best part of the song

  • No word for this song.

It's way more than just beautiful. <3

  • this song kicks ASS!!!!! wait is this new? O.o

  • Holly Shit!! Dimmu Borgir has gotten a female on vocals. But seriously, this band is good but bands like Cradle of Filth do a better job at having a female vocalist.

  • @InternalConflicts I love Dimmu Borgir, and Epica, they are both wickedly awesome ;) Simone is amazing, and I'm glad she is in Epica. Nobody will ever beat Dimmu Borgir at what they do, and nobody will ever beat Epica at what they do. I suspect the same would be true of cradle of filth. They all have more fans that I do, lol. If it wasn't for Epica, I probably wouldn't have ever heard Simone sing, And I'll be damned if life was worth living without that ;)

  • @9Diamondsoul You're my favorite person.

  • @thedaveydude Correct !

  • @9Diamondsoul Emperor does the Symphonic Black Metal better then Dimmu Borgir.

  • @Epica124 Emperor has a completely different sound than Dimmu Borgir, though there are similarities. Emperor is pretty awesome at what they do. I listen to Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, and Epica when I am in different moods.

All that aside, "A new age dawns" is an amazing work of art, hail to Epica!

  • @InternalConflicts Uhm....Dani Filth isn't female, dude. Dani's a guy.

  • @ChainedPhantom

he's talking about Cradle of Filth ex-vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva.

  • god this song is sooooo badass! i think they have a low tuning. my band tunes to "AEADGB"

  • @EnGLfReAk No they don't, on this album they used 7 strings. They're either in standard BEADGBE, or Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb.

  • Anyone else notice that the only way to listen to this song is on full volume!?!?!?!? lol

  • @9Diamondsoul

    fuck yea!

  • Fucking good this band i've seen them 2x and i go to appelpop en there comes epica too :D :D

  • @nouendoodisleuk u dutch? they were great at pinkpop ;-)

  • WOW O.O

  • i luv it

  • you can't spell epica with out EPIC for a reason.

  • The lyrics in the description are pretty hard to follow though... Where did you get them?

  • OMG THIS SONG FUCKIN KICKS ASSSSSSSS

  • This song is so kreepy

  • Her Voice Improved Magnificiantly !!!

  • OMG this New Album is Fing awesome!

I loved the whole thing and I'm a new fan of them so this CD was so good heck even the cover of the CD was mind blowing thanks for the upload.

  • excelent!!!!!!!!!!

  • epica style changed completly in the new album but i think it suits them alot iluv they way of making songs

  • men, could you ad the lyrics in the description or something like that?

  • @jimfaindelmaster hi there, i just added the lyrics ;-)
