The buttons don't just pop off...I tried it with a couple old useless mouses, and even using a screwdriver they were very difficult to get off without breaking the board...and even then, you have to re-solder 3 connections. I thought perhaps it was obsolescence, so I took apart a newer one, but had the same problem. What mouse are you using where you can just pop off the buttons with your fingers? The rest of the hack is solid, though!

Love the video but I could use some more information. Firstly, I've opened up 3 different mice now and none of them have button that are removable.. at least anything like displayed in the video. They are hard fastened to the board and ain't budging. Do you have any brands you can recommend at all?

if you put the laser in one of the fingers you could make your normal computer monitor function similar to a touchscreen. When using, just make contact with the screen where the pointer is, and then when you move your finger the pointer will follow your finger.. Possible?

Unfortunately it would be impossible to use the scrolling device because there is nowhere in the glove to put it, however you would just use the scroll bar
