Damn. Ken Nordine still doing it. I haven't heard his voice since his "WORD JAZZ" recordings of a half-century ago, about 1958 or '59, I think it was. I still have the LPs. Hang in there, Ken.

Your honor, I confess...the little eight line 5 beats to the line 'maybe the moments' I have accumulated are the defense I have against insomnia. I mumble each line to myself until I have eight, then I write the down on a pad on the night table,

so something will be there when I wake up. Works...I sleep like a log in a sawmill

I listened to Ken Nordine all the time on the radio when the NPR stations played Word Jazz...had to, as we had no TV. Awesome programs, timeless, and valuable pieces of (performance) art.

The programs were so good, and sooo underexposed. More people should know about this.
