  • thank you so much I have gone with my son and we have filled coolers twice.. we went on the 2/4 and 2/11 ... the first time we had a load of fish filling the cooler and limits of crab, we come back for more and had much more luck on the sand dabs ... they were fatties! however the swell took half the crab pots under the water and we got 3 crabs each. it was fun ... thanks for the videos.. cant wait for the rock cod season to start again.. hopefully we can have a season somewhat like last years

  • thanks you helped me alot with that comment.... taking them this sunday hopefully willl be a good trip...... good luck to you thanks for the videos

  • @fishing650 The weather forecast calls for low winds in Monterey Bay this weekend, but the swells are going to be high (~9 feet). It may be bouncy out there and getting the crab pots will be more difficult to see and retrieve.

  • is this exciting for kids?

  • @fishing650

For kids, this would be a good trip since they're guaranteed to catch a few of them. And it's not too strenuous since the fish aren't that heavy, even if they're catching them 5 at a time.

  • @stocktonfisherman

Not too big. About 5 - 7 inches each. No Limit.

  • sweet dude, how much does a trip like that cost you?

  • @Boonicat71

    $70

  • @Boonicat71

For 2012, the price is now $75.
