  • Hi, if i want to convert a square wave that is 50Hz to sine, how would i do that using a low pass filter? im just new to this sorry

  • @nadre25 - apply a low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency just above 50Hz.

  • That''s beautiful, I just love having a spectrogram and oscilloscope at the same time and watching the harmonics roll off, it gives me a feeling of satisfaction.

  • If i were to design at filter for low frequency noise, what filter would i use?

  • you should use a high pass filter to block low freq noise. A suitable Inductor should do...

  • it allows you to make wind sounds with a noise gen.! that's all wind really is...the sun blowing into a low pass filter. and when it whistles, the resonance is quite high!

  • excellent demonstration. I would recommend an explanation of what significance this might have in synthesizing sounds, if any.

  • It allows you to create a pure(ish...) sine wave on a synth that may only have square or triangle waves. Such as the Analogue Solutions Vostok.

  • the sine waves appear because the Fourier series for each wave contains a fundamental...applying low pass filter kills off the other harmonics...
