I got him from a breeder in Texas. To teach spin just lure him with a treat doing a little circle above his head. You can raise higher and higher when starts getting it. Its funny, when he was a puppy I took him to an obedience class and the trainer told me he was untrainable, so I decided to prove her wrong on my own. Read as many books as you can. About the breed and obedience in general. Ian Dunbar, Cesar Milan are good for obedience albeit with different approaches. Richard Stratton

Thank you for the compliment. To teach him not to jump was tough lol. He only jumps up on people he meets for the first time. I basically give the person a treat and have them calmlt put him in a sit. No attention or baby voices or anything like that. If he gets up or moves I have them turn their backs to him not give him any attention. Then put him in sit again, if he's good and stays he gets the treat and pets. Eventually they will start sitting for strangers. Usually Lol.

what a smarty pants!! <3 love pits, i have an amstaff. teaching her to do some tricks now. she's got sit (down), sit (up), stay, down, and come. maybe i'll try roll over or play dead next! she picks up quickly too!! almost addicting with the quick rate of catching on! always wanna do more but i don't wanna tire her out too quick lol

The first and most important things to teach are, sit, stay, and down. Once you got those most tricks are just little variations on those. For example, to play dead your dog must now "down". Once he/she does, you lure them into the down position, then lure them onto their back with a treat.

@kean10c You do this by holding the treat between their ear and jaw, the trick is to get them to remain prone. Once you get them onto their back give them the treat. Repeat, once the behavior is loaded, then intermittently treat, in other words, only treat them every other, or every few reps.

@Once they get the behavior down, you simply load the command, i.e. "Bang Bang!" or whatever you want to use. You do this by saying the command the second the behavior is displayed, and treat afterward so they associate the command with the behavior, and therefore the treat. Ill do a video ofit soon.

It was pretty cheap, I trained him myself LOL. He picks up on tricks very quickly, most of the trcks he picked up in 10 minutes or less. Hes very food motivated so that was very useful.

That is a great looking dog you got there. You have to love the willingness of the breed to do nothing more then please its owner. Bully breeds are simply the best pets a responsible owner can ever own!
