  • You find a lot of affordable art on T-shirts at sequoiatees

  • You find a lot of affordable art on T-shirts at sequoiatees

  • God! is that a giant standing beside Jeremy?

  • "this here is the Thinking Aesop of thy Humbly Swearing Fish"

  • everybody who sells things for a lot of money=DENIED! lol, good stuff

  • so in other words -capitalism-works every time - dont know who this is- it was suggested to me from youtube but anyway there it is.

  • HOLY SHIT IT'S AESOP ROCK! I wonder how him and jeremy fish became friends..if they are friends.

  • @Abnormalproductions2 Aesop did a a song for Fish's "Ghosts of the Barbary Coast". Fish did the artwork for Aesop's None Shall Pass album.

  • As a growing artist, I can fully appreciate Fish's point of view. Putting your creations onto t--shirts is really just a means to an end. You've spent your time and efforts into creating something that you want to share with people. People who appreciate your style and skills as well as your ability to compose these visual messages/expressions. If it's cheaper to make that available for someone to wear versus buying an expensive print, why not?

  • Art in itself is a matter of personal perspective.

Besides, let's be realistic, everything costs money to produce. If the high quality shirts that his art is printed on were free, if the ink as well as the printing company that produces those shirts were free, if the labor that went into operating those presses where free, if the packaging and shipping fees were free, then I'm sure he would send everyone "free art" instead of charging what he does. Just my "personal perspective" on the subject.

  • .. themselves aspire to the "common". I think alot of this type of work is safe and one dementional, but portrays itself as being counter or anti. He doesn't make art for "smart people" because the work doesn't hold up. And its not to say HE isn't smart. But intelligence isn't synonomous with elitism. I think when the line i blurred between art, toys, and t-shirts, it does cheapen "art". Not to say it shouldn't exist, it should. But his percpective seems a bit like justifying a marketing ploy..

  • @wilishire120 #1) When you type a series of letters like "dementional" in the 21st century... spell check puts a red line under the unrecognized string on characters. Which is funny because "dementional" is so far from dimensional that Google doesn't provide a suggestion. #2) When you a mans "percpective".... I mean (perspective) or say anything at all in text that is contrary, you may want to learn how to spell. You sir, are a an illiterate book critique and I will have none of your wares.

  • I got to say, this is the first time I've heard him speak, and it does make me have more respect for him. I do think it all depends on your intentions, and I guess I have questions regarding catering to a demographic, such as hipsters and skaters, and what that means. It's good to know your audience, and be honest about who its for. But when commodity and product are discussed in the same sentence, it's important to wonder what his intentions are. In a sense, it appeals to a demographic who...

  • lol is that Aesop beside him!?

  • why does he look 1/4 the size of the guy standing next to him?

  • I own a T shirt by you Fish, thank you

  • Right on Jeremy! Art for the people who enjoy yr work. -RW-

  • hey anybody noe whr i can buy his stuff?

  • God, I love and respect this man.

  • Haha! He's so well articulated I got goosebumps! And yeah, respect to this man!

  • Respect

  • jeremy-did you ever find that black bart simpson t-shirt?

  • Jeremy Fish is a very very smart man.

  • haha aesop just stares at him

  • well said... besides, it's not like he's putting "jeremy fish" written in a generic style mass printed on the same t-shirt in 10 different colours.

  • damn so true

  • hes right. id kill for a cavas by him. i just hate it when kids find a new t shirt with a sick artist on it nd everyone gets shirt by him.

respect the artist. hes known for more than just upper playground crap. it happened to flores and shepard fairey already in my community. most kids dont kno shit about real art

  • oh, you think so?? do you feel better?, thanks for stating the obvious...now are done now stroking your ego??

  • one of my favorite artists. jeremy does art work and made the aesop rock album cover for 'none shall pass'

its jeremy fish, dont hate mothafuckassss !!!!

  • why is AESOP so big? lol

  • i met him once,hes actually a giant

its not likehes just tall, hes likeyour average person, but scaled up

  • haha That Dope, Aesop is My Favorite lyricist Next To Redman, MF, and Ghostface haha

But yea it was funny cause He Look HUMUNGOUS lol

  • yeah jeremy looks like hes the size oif a small child

  • Hah. Aesop is huge.

  • Art Star?

  • Found the only UK Upper Playground last month, have been loving Fish's art since.

  • Yes...I'm sure thats what it is...douche

  • you eat dick

  • was that Aesop Rock standing right next to him?It look like he was just glaring him down. Aesop is a badass. Both of them are badasses actually.

  • Good eye...

  • word up.

  • Wow, what bothers you so much about Jeremy's success? Are you a struggling artist yourself?

  • Haha the fact that he clicked on this means that something about Fish draws him to watch the whole video!

And a mans got to eat. Who cares if he is doing well? He earned it!

  • Suck a fat dick dude! What could you possibly have against Jeremy Fish? Hahaha, your comment seems almost like one of the brutally realistic, yet sarcastic rants my friends and I do on eachother. Are you being sarcastic dude? I hope you are.

  • haha, what a hater.

usually jealous people say that kinda stuff.

but thats ok. doesnt change the fact J.fish is amazing.

  • @addupone you cant afford to be an artist and just expect people to pay big money for everything you do. if you have shirts with art on them chances are you will have a bigger fan base and support form more people. if you were a well known artist you would do the same thing..unless living in a one bedroom apartment with no art studio and eating top ramen everynight is something u enjoy then excuse this comment. stop hating and worry about yourself

  • @addupone It's sad but an artist has to find some way to afford paint, etc. Dude's making art that he loves and you gotta respect that. I feel like people look down on his art because it's cartoon-y and write it off for some reason. He's a genuine story teller, probably why him and Aesop get along so well.

  • Comment removed

  • @addupone The great thing is that your comment has no value to TRUE artists such as Jeremy and us other artists. Jeremy is doing what every one of us would love to do. He gets to enjoy the company of cool cats like aesop and make his artwork however the fuck he wants. T-shirts are walking canvases you dumbass so get your hipster ass fuck the machine lifestyle and shove it up your ass. This dude made it, and it's guys like him who will make your future bullshit art rhetoric. Jeremy,DO WHAT IT DO

  • jeremy fish, what a wonderful guy.

  • And this is why Fish appeals to everyone

  • definately, Fish is awesom. Jeremy Fish is one of my favorite modern artists
