It's too bad this movie didn't make it big in the box office. Sandra Bullock just got married when this movie came out. I bet if she was single then, and Keanu was definitely single, this movie would have been a hit. If they re-release this movie now, it will make it bigger than the first time. I think Sandra and Keanu make a great couple. I love love this movie!!

One of my five top ones. About the oneday walk they shared that saturday...some idea what places they walked around? Im about to go back to Chicago and Id love to do it.Especially the number 27" of the map.La mare and the icer ing I know where they are, but also how to get to the place of the lake house though I know it was dissambled at the end of the film.

Loads of people say the chemistry between these two was not as good in this film as in Speed...but I disagree. The chemistry was in their words, their actions, their behaviour...as this film is truly about a love that touches the heart before it reaches the eyes. It's about a love that grows steadily and then becomes insanely passionate and all-consuming right at the end. They were perfect, in my opinion. Also, as this is a remake, the characters may be similar to the originals... :D

@shesablackleaf in 2008, upon realizing that the stranger who died in chicago was alex, kate rushed back to the lake house and left a note in the mailbox telling him not to look for her in 2006 when he sees her but to wait for her and she will meet him at the lake house 2 yrs later, so alex refrained from crossing the road then and waited for another 2 yrs, therefore he didnt die and they reunited at the lake house.
