  • Trippy version! Love It!

  • Sounds good, However, the flow and rythm of the song is being lost in all that unneccessary bending. the flow of the song is what makes it great....Very Trippy tho :)

  • @TurtleMohawk Pfff shut up

  • LOVE IT!!! ***** Have ƒeeling! Superb ambiance... ..

  • Small body, but good tone

  • Well played, yes, but overplayed. That song is much better played as it is, flowy and simple. Too many show-off-y things.

  • @trunkatedpig You think Jimi didn't show off? Watch this before the Woodstock performance and this is positively staid.

  • @mcleanartists Of course Jimi showed off... but not on Villinova junction. He didn't go off on tangents like he did on his other songs, or like this guy does.

  • hmm, Ian Anderson used one of these little tenor guitars on Dun Ringill, to good effect

  • Please tell me which guitar is this? and that tune is? splendid version ...... Tank you!!

  • Love it. And love that it's dedicated to the wonderful Mr. Magraw, a great guitar player and musician in his own right.

  • Is it conceivable to experience the audible delights of a fabulous musician on YouTube without some imbecile blogger invoking the hackneyed "genius" to describe the performer?

    Enough!

  • All the guitar players in Hollywood marvel over Steve. Everyone wants to see him. Kudos to the video work by the cameraman.

  • @cordedpoodle

My dad ( who is not even familiar with Steve's music) saw him play at the Lotus Festival in Blooming, IN about a dozen or so years ago. I was out of the country and couldn't attend the performance, and it still bums me out...

  • Wonderful version. Would love to have had this included on 'Natural Causes' but maybe a cover album down the road, Steve? All best to you.

  • Beautiful. I wonder if this guitar has the ultra low frets like his 12 string. It sounds very chorus-ey...

  • Superbe version

  • STEVE! This should have been on NATURAL CAUSES! It's Tibberific!

  • just gorgeous...........

  • What is the name of the instrument Tibbets is playing ?

  • Genius, pure genius.

(BTW, def. NOT mimed. Perhaps some post-production reverb on it though...)

  • Luv it

  • cool performance and.... with a little bit of imagination, the shadow on the wall could be Jimi's spirit...it's beautiful... just awesome

  • beautiful and haunting!

  • Wow! Fantastic! (Standing ovation!) Just beautiful. Tasty. Delicate. Rarely you hear a masterpiece cover, that is another masterpiece.

  • This is real treat for a Hendrix fan! Thx for posting!

  • mimed! i knew somethin was up..haha

  • I believe that is Lhasa, Tibet. It sure looks like Potala Palace in the background of several shots.

  • Nice! I wonder though, Where exactly is Mr. Frammis playing.

  • The "post-effects" are called Steve Tibbetts. Buy a few of his albums and you will understand!

  • @ctbarker321 of course there are few effects.. S.T. uses a lot of guitar synthesizers and other effects.. but thatt is nothing against his masterpiece of this tune...

  • i watched Jimi's electric energy rendition.

and then found yours. and a heartfelt thanks.

  • this is beautiful! but how was the sound done? there must be post-effects

  • Great video. Thanks a lot for sharing.

  • Beautiful. Dean, We look forward to your response video!

  • Really Awesome! I love Steve, I love Jimi, and I live in Villanova. Thanks for posting.
