Great video, wonderful garden. Not sure how they get away with calling this "suburban," though. If you have an acre of tillable soil, that is really not the 'burbs.
I wonder if there is a way to make a permaculture garden in Phoenix, Arizona, just using the natural rain that falls each year. (At the moment, I grow things in pots, outside of my apartment, and I water it by using tap water from the kitchen sink.)
We've truly been blessed with an amazing earth that, when modeling our gardening after nature, will not only provide nourishing/healing food for our bodies, but will also enrich the earth when using Permaculture.
The documentary "The Beautiful Truth" which is a free instant watch on Netflix and Hulu (I may be wrong) reflects healing one's self with fresh food.
Thanks for shairng and inspiring other to use Permaculture.
I oould not make out this man's (the man with the food forest garden) website that he said at the end. Can you reply back with what it is? Fascinating stuff.
I own a condo, which I'm about a year away from paying off. Anyway the best I can do right now is my deck garden. Last year my friends came over and had a great salad from my deck garden along with our pizza. Once my condo is paid off I can start saving so I can move up to a place with room for a real garden.
@vention4wh "D Don't know if you are interested in what we do - but our whole thing is hooking up people in yardsharing arrangements. Tons of folks are looking for help in exchange for sharing the harvest!
Does anyone know the best state to do permaculture where you can grow a wide veriety of foods without getting caught in bad weight in certain seasons in witch will ruin your crop(s)?
Permaculture is so fluid that you can successfully do it ANYWHERE! It is information-based, so the better the information you have, the better your design will be. Get the information you need from "how-to" books, such as "Designing and Maintaining your edible landscape...naturally". Also, the landscape you choose will tell you what it needs. Observe closely over four seasons before you make any major changes, and you will know where the wind comes from, when the drought is, where it floods
Lst time I ate home grown veg with friends? At our Transition Town community garden party here in Scotland! Been practicing Permaculture since I did the PDC in NSW Australia 6 years ago, can't recommend it enough. I think the fella in this vid was talking about Sepp Holzer who has an AMAZING way of natural farming in Austria. Also, check out Robert Hart for great examples of UK forest gardens.
Thank you Kevin and Annmarie - I love your gardening shows!
We didn't eat from the garden, but our entire family was up at Grand Coulee Dam (WA State) this weekend. We picnicked our way there and home, sight seeing all the way.
If you're headed back east - you might like to drive the North Cascades Hiway. It's spectacular.
Or if you have time - a few days driving the Olympic Peninsula - doesn't get better.

It's ok I can see you have some issues with your sexuality. There probably are some videos here on youtube to help you deal with these. Good luck with your "coming out".

It's also worth noting that Tom's wife cured herself of cancer in 9 months by switching to a raw food diet.
