Full Metal Alchemist - Paper Wings

I actually really enjoyed brotherhood. I found the animation quite smooth and sharp; characters included. I'm not saying it is better than the original I am just saying I never once found the animation all that bad. If you are a fan of the series I recommend watching the original, but for casual anime watchers I recommend Brotherhood; if not simply because it felt like it was more too the point and cut out stuff that didn't hurt the plot in the end.

@XxLoneWolfexX Uh...I'm not sure if you know but Brotherhood IS the original; the first series was just basically a spinoff that practically deviated almost completely from the original plot; Brotherhood follows the Original Manga. The reason is that since FMA is a monthly published series instead of a weekly like Bleach or One Piece the Mangaka of FMA gave the studios the OK to make their own story while they could continue to work on the original FMA without too much pressure.

Please elaborate when, where and how Brotherhood deviates from the Manga since I find the subtleties so unimportant that I find it to be exact enough to not worry but do enlighten my how it does so "quite a bit".

Isaac McDougal DOES NOT exist in The Manga , Mason IS ALMOST COMPLETELY Ommitted , The Xingese Characters OTHER THAN Ling and May Chang were featured MUCH MORE in The Manga , The Emperor of Xing ACTUALLY APPEARED towards The End of The Manga to pass his Throne on to Ling while in Brotherhood ALL he got was A Shadowy Flashback in Ling`s First Appearance , Father appears in The FIRST Episode of Brotherhood , in The Manga he DIDN`T APPEAR UNTIL ATLEAST Ch. 39 !

@Gam3Junkie7 The Manga had MORE History with Homunculus , Hohenheim and Ancient Xerxes , The Manga WENT MUCH MORE In-Depth on Father`s Origins and Relationship with The Emperor of Xerxes WHO WAS LARGELY Responsible for Father`s Negative View of Humans , The Mannequin Soldiers WERE EXPLAINED MUCH BETTER in The Manga , I DON`T think Brotherhood BOTHERED to explain THEM AT ALL , The Second Greed IS SUPPOSED to sound IDENTICAL to The First and The Cornello Arc`s PRACTICALLY Unrecognizable !

@1993MovieMan Hm...let's see *leafs through book of Endless Possibilities* Ah yes: Cornello could've done so much more with that stone than he did in the Manga, I found that to be a nice touch but in the end it didn't matter. *flips to another page* Rose was a totally mindfucked follower of a cult leader posing as a prophet and the likelihood of her doing it on impulse is just as likely as her good nature countering it. *closes book* sorry but I need more evidence for it to be "quite a bit".

@1993MovieMan *reviews baseless facts* regardless she was in denial and denial makes SO~ many things possible. Regardless Letoism was a cult started by Cornello, it wasn't a real religion in the slightest so it makes every single person who follows it a cultist even if they don't realize it. Enough hints, little shoves, a tiny tweak of a word or a situation to the mind of an impressionable follower is all it takes for you to say jump and they to say how high, it didn't matter if she did or not.

@1993MovieMan Very well, I have nothing against religious people so long as they leave others out of it. Still other than those facts I believe that Brotherhood was an exact enough retelling of the manga for any differences to be pointless. Also I personally thought that Cornello's cyborg thing was a throwback to the first anime's full-body automail BS that was pretty cool even if it made no sense so I figure what the hey it didn't matter in the end, Cornello still bit the dust.

See , it may have been impractical BUT The " Automail Cyborg " Thing effectively reflected how Archer`s Love of War and Blind Obedience to A Military Heirarchy he KNEW to be corrupt had made him MORE Machine than Man A LONG TIME AGO ! So , in Archer`s Case it served A Purpose in The Context of The Plot ! For Cornello , it served NO Purpose and CONTRADICTED his Character as An Anti-Military Cult Leader !
