Vote for greed and corruption! Vote for pre-emptive war! Vote for ignoring the budget deficit and continuing to implement tax cuts that primarily benefit the wealthy! Vote for lies and deception! Vote for privatizing education and health care so only the rich can afford it! Vote to destroy America! Vote Republican!!!!
Do we really even need just 1 Democratic nominee and 1 Republican? Why not make it at least the top 2 from each side? That's 4 choices, which makes it a little easier to pick a president, although it's still far from perfect. Or how about 3 from each side, to be bold? 1 is too damn few. Why should 7 candidates be able to run only to have 1 pathetic candidate out of them all being able to run his party to "victory", if at all?
Why is there so much red tape surrounding fucking nominations nowadays?? Can't the people just decide and get it over with like that? If we vote more for one guy than the other, HE DESERVES THE NOMINATION!! If this is to be a winner-take-all system, that's how it should go. If not, then come up with a proportional system but still don't waste time with this delegate bullshit, having us vote through some middleman, an intermediary.
Good insightful video. I personally don't accept the rules of super-delegates deciding the nomination at the end. Their credentials should not have favor over my own vote. We change the playing field by deciding on popular vote...
I honestly believe that this massive support for Obama (with out flaws being reported in the media) has republican written all over it.They know if they can get Hillary out NOW then McCain will win the presidency.
How about WE the PEOPLE get to determine who WE are governed by? The popular vote should determined who is elected, fuck the superdelegates, fuck the electoral college!
Great Video. Top notch, top notch!! But it's so clear you're a Clinton supporter. Just kidding. But will someone please tell me who the heck is Vera Cifier???!
Americans only manage ti get around to examining their democratic institutions when a crisis arises. I am however certain that when the dust settles everything wrong about entrusting the federal elections to the two major parties' stranglehold of the system will be resolved just as the electoral college fiasco was finally taken care of after the 2000 election.
I know what can be done; Since it is supposed to be a democracy, you could count the number of contributors to each candidates campaign and use that instead of all the "rich guy rules" where the biggest conspirators win.
Hillary probably know alot more secrets and has alot more dirt on the super delagates. All Hillary has is backstabby power, but that could be just the ticket.
I personally beat the pants off Lanny Davis in Montgomery Co. in 1990 - my campaigns' $72K against Sid Kramer's $1.5 million - Lanny Davis sucks, because he actually helped our campaign more than anyone else! He is a TOTAL LOSER AND TOTALLY STUPID!- look it up - Potter VS Kramer, Montgomery CO., MD, 1990. Mark J. Eblan, Chairman, Potter for Co. Exec, 1990.
Hillary is an evil Big Bird. Anyway, this kind of disinformation campaign by Hillary's surrogates above is pure Bush/Rove. We want REALITY again, not spin from hell.
I'm a Michigander. I don't think our delegates should be seated. We picked a fight, now stick to our guns; in the long run the Iowa/New Hampshire issue needs to be addressed as only empty seats at the convention can address.
What I haven't heard addressed: Will Michigan's super delegates be seated? If I don't get a vote, neither should our supers.
For the record: I find both candidates compelling in their own way.
Isn't it sad when Obama leads the popular vote by 1.3 million people, that he would still not be the Dem nominee. I support him and see the bad situation that the Dem party is in. However, I think that he should abide by the rules that he signed for as a candidate and accept the outcome. Be it for better or for worse. And Michigan and Florida was rightfully punished and Hillary should accept that outcome too. She cheated and was caught with her pants down and thus should pay a price.
Count Florida-don't count Michigan-allow the Super Delegates to vote on their own judgment. Obama supporters are so sensitive about the process being "democratic" but Hillary already lost the popular vote in Arizona, but won more delegates. Obama ran ads in Florida, and yet thinks the vote was unfair. This all seems simple to me!
Devin1498: Your account of Arizona is not accurate: CNN says: "Clinton - 228,158 votes = 51% & 31 delegates. Obama 191,681 votes = 42% & 25 delegates."
Hillary's scorched earth plan until JUNE is frightening. She will destroy the party b/c she is selfish. (BTW - When she finally quits in June, there will be no more Democratic donation money to soak up for Obama to use in the General Election.)
It's hilarious to watch Schumer and that other Clinton supporter hem and haw when they want scream about following rules then show they want to change another rule.
And this is the party that complained about the last national election. I really want to be a member of this party. My vote doesn't count unless I voted for the person that the party LEADERS want. Sounds more like old communist soviet union and nazi Germany to me than principle of most vote's win. Aren't you donkeys tired of sitting on your asses and being led by the socialist leaders of your party?
In the middle of a heated election is exactly when you need to stick by the rules, fair or unfair. Rules can be unfair, but the middle of an election is not the time to change them since neither side is likely to look even remotely objectively at the rules at that time.

Anybody else think it's a nice coincidence
that the Clinton people waited until she
was behind to talk about the popular vote
shouldn't matter?? Don't worry, when we all
the the KING OF FLIP-FLOPS spewing his lies,
the party will unite and crush them just
like we did in 06!! Remember, the 2000
election was decided by our courts, not the
people.
