Again and again you born from Laos your grandparent believe Buddha, why you forgot every thing from your country, have you seen Jesus?I don't think you do ,if you don't see please don't talk before you born, you talk look like you are world leader ,think back what real and what lie, this time I don't want to say any thing bad to all of you (Laotian Christian believer) yet,
@Bouavanh859 Here's what I don't understand about some Lao people, why is it OK for a Lao person to believe in Buddha and it's NOT OK to believe in Jesus? Is Buddha Laotian? NO! As a matter of fact he was Indian. Is Jesus Laotian? Of course not. He was a Jew. So why is it OK to be a follower of an Indian and NOT OK to be a follower of a Jew? Tell me. Just because Buddha's message got to Laos sooner than Christian's message it doesn't make the Buddha's message a Lao message. Do you understand me?
Many centuries ago,Man believed that the earth was flat, and the world was the center of the universe...The sun revolved around our planet...Today,most people knows that life on earth is either the result of random evolution or the work of a supernatural God,or is it ? and I don't think the earth was created in 6 days -Very controversial subject. It's is like "Chicken and Egg" theory, " God or the Big Bang?" which one came first? If so who created God?- In my opinion the universe is actually God.
I respects everyone religious and cultures. I had learn about Buddhism, Christianity, Catholic and a little bit Muslim and Hindus.
However, what is make more sense to "ME" is Buddhism teaching and philosolophy.....
I believe in Peace and happines..
Here is my favorites Buddha quotes:
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
Listen ບາກຫຳແຫລ້, buddism is not our root either. Do you know that Buddha is Indian from India? ເຈົ້າຟ້າງຸ່ມ was the one who brought Buddhism to Laos from Cambodia. Buddha is NOT Lao. Do you even know own history? I respect Buddha. His teachings are good. . He told his followers to accept & respect everyone. There's enormous difference between Religion and Tradition. Just because they're Christian it doesn't mean they don't observe their tradition.
Yes I'm aware that Buddha was an Indian. I think everyone who's ever been in a wat knows that. I didn't mean any disrespect to Christians, but I don't feel that that is a Lao thing to do.
Yes, but why is Buddhism "a Lao thing to do" anymore than Christianity? Lao people are born to be free in the first place, free to believe, free to think, free to choose. Think about it friend, there are Lao who's Buddhist or Muslim or Hindu or Catholic, and even atheist. Why not Christian? Is it not the Christians that's changing & helping the poor around the world (Laos)?: World Vision, ADRA, WorldCare, Project Hope & much more. Now that deserving respect.

Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.
Buddha
Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others too little.

Funny how we say compassion for all beings while ripping chicken meat off the bone

Christianity is not out roots, we should stick to our roots. I'm not a Buddhist, but I observe our tradition.
