That is not that slow compared to some of the low end smart phones like the Optimus with a 600 mhz processor and does very well. He is comparing it with the 1 gig processors which of course are faster.

he forgot to mention that it only has 128mb internal memory, and with the preinstalled apps, it has about 70, so you'll be able to put only about 10 apps on it at any time, and 20 if you use froyo to move them to the sd card, but then it gets even slower because it has to load everything from the sd card, i learned this after i got the phone, and i wasted 400 dollars, plz dont get this phone, there are far better phones than this at that price point

This phone is awesome when tweaked. Have it running Dexter's froyo 1.3 and overclocked at 1ghz. Some swear its faster than the galaxy s and xperia x10. I myself can argue so too cause its AWESOME to use. Would love a better battery though.

This phone is actually ok. the defy is faster. I like when he said the screen is sharp he held the phone closer to the camera......so funny..... around 58secs....love hate thing, it attracts finger prints, is a touch screen phone dude...

I don't think it's fair to call this thing a "powerhouse" given how slow the CPU is. Even when overclocked it benchmarks horribly. Such a shame because it could have been an EXCELLENT device and very popular with power users and developers if they had just used an OMAP 3600 series like the US Droid X/2. Especially since it comes with stock Android. Why they would pair such otherwise awesome hardware with an underpowered CPU is a mystery. I would buy this in a heartbeat if it had a 1ghz CPU.
@reddragon9918 It doesn't include motoblur anywhere I've seen online, and in this particular review he even specifically says it does NOT include motoblur, so I don't know where you're getting that from. and yeah, it's "pretty fast" compared to say the original Milestone/Droid maybe. The phones it's up against now leave it in the dust though. (Droid 2/X, Galaxy S, Desire HD/Z)
Designed cool, but that 8 M camera wasn't good..got so much noise when there's not enough sun light...the photo was much worse than 3M camera on the other cell phones like nokia N5800

@n83inflames Hi there, the phone sadly does lag when loaded with apps. It's got loads of great features, so if you can live with that, awesome, but it is there.
@baskro1 thanks for the reply, yeah he says that it lags too when running a lot of apps and widgets... this phone would have been awesome if it had a better processor. I think im gonna go with the HTC Desire, its an awesome phone, the only this is its battery, not that great.

As far as the Desire goes, if you make a few tweaks battery's ok. It's AMOLED, so a black / dark wallpaper will do wonders. Also, just make sure you have your battery saver widget up and get a task killer. Then it should be great.
