I didn't know trains in India can travel that fast. The ones I've been on have a top speed of about 50 km/h which is why a few hundred kilometer trip takes 8 hours.

first of all why is the train going so fast when it is travelling on a track that has a platform...???? trains that travel on platform tracks should go very slow even if it does not stop in the station

If a train is not scheduled to stop at a station it is allowed to run at normal line speed.  In this case normal line speed is bloody fast.

No, they shouldn't. Most local stations in London, for example, have platforms for all lines; imagine the delays if the trains slowed down at every station! It's entirely the passengers' responsibility to stand back and ensure their OWN safety. After all, you wouldn't step onto a road without looking, so why a train track?
