  • Take me back! I loved this when I was a kid in the 80's, scared the s*** out of me!

  • Lol, this is the Zelda Robin Williams named his daughter but never let on.

  • Fuck me,thats what Shirley from Eastenders did in her early acting days then!!!!

  • early memories for me this one

  • I am surprised they have not made a live action film of this show. I wonder who they would get to play Zelda. Make-up department would be busy on that one thats for sure.

  • @Steve10578 Geraldine McEwan would make a brilliantly scary Zelda I think.

  • Man I miss the 80's

  • Zelda reminds me of that old witch in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.

  • I like all of the Gerry Anderson Productions. I think Thunderbird's was his best one, or maybe even Stingray, but I still think this is a classic too. Thanks for the upload :)

  • Yep,Terrahawks was much better than the thunderbirds, cmon the zeroids, alone are better than thunderbirds.:)

  • @originaldelta Exactly what I've always thought! I wish there were more people like you in the world! I

  • ainda bem que isso nunca passou no brasil

  • i was so freaking affraid of zelda when i was, idk - 7 year old kid i even got nightmare once or twice... so after that, i always switched channel whenever it was on =D so now, 20 years later, i youtubed it to face my fears hehe. cheers.

  • i grew up watching a lot of gerry anderson shows and i thought this was very conincing as they also looked really

  • I loved all the Supermarionation shows as a kid, Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Fireball XL5, etc. TerraHawks was my favouite though. So much bettter than the cr*p they pump out for kids nowadays.

  • Anyone else reckon Zelda looks like Shirley off Eastenders?

  • @Jermyn78 definitely

  • zelda lives down my street!!

  • Hated this show, compared to thunderbirds, terrahawks should be renamed terrapants.

  • @womblediehard Sorry, I think it's superior to Thunderbirds myself. Certainly more "adult" and laced with darkness and black comedy. Tony Barwick wrote some excellent scripts for this show...

  • @StopFramEmotion Sorry but it never fell into the same category or classed as a classic like Thunderbirds or other Gerry Anderson productions, it was very one dimensional imo.

  • @StopFramEmotion I love you StopFramEmotion! You're certainly a hawk-brain, not a bird-brain!

  • @battywattywoo Thanks! I like you too!! And nice touch with the "hawk" reference there!! I mean, how can you NOT like Terrahawks? The theme itself is one of the best TV themes ever, and that's just for starters!!

  • @StopFramEmotion Ten-ten, sir!

  • @womblediehard No way jose! It's much better than Chunderbirds/Thunderberks! How can anyone resist the zeroids?

  • I used to make Zeroids out of two Kinder Egg big ends.

  • Shram scared the shit out of me! 80's TV ruled.

  • Evil bitch that Zelda, she now works on reception at a car dealership in east yorkshire, that is when shes not off sick with another phantom pregnancy or depressionor something??????.

  • I loved this show as a kid and have only just rediscovered it!! :-) Heaps better than Thunderbirds I reckon

  • @jessitar15 What u talk'g about? 'Twas WORLDS BETTER than thunderbirds. Watched a few eps of Thunderbirds this year. I could still see the strings attached the characters/dolls as they moved

  • @jovayutube we disagree over semantics hehe :-P heaps better and worlds better describe how much more awesome this show is and either way we agree it is much better than Thunderbirds :-)

  • @jessitar15 Sorry about that! My bad! Never meant any disrespect by my comment. Absolutely loved the show as a kid myself, back in the 80's. Never missed an episode. Also loved watching VOLTRON and THUNDERSUB!

  • Hang on, I have seen Zelda in Eastenders

  • (trixyrush — 29 oktober 2006 — TerraHawks 80s Tv hit better than Thunderbirds?)

It certainly was a logic step for the Anderson-production-team;and then again> every area has it's heroes....some prefer STARFLEET,some prefer BattlestarGalactica

  • Brings back memories!! Anyone remember the ending with the noughts and crosses game?

  • Embarrasing and gimpishly fuck-faced pieces of latex shittery.

They should have had the zeroids rammed into their rubber arseholes and then been set on fire and blasted into pieces.

Ugly fucking duck-looking weirdos and their crock of shit space names.

I hated them. Fuck them and their stupid neck-hinge, croc-mouthed yapping.

A complete and utter hone of twats.

They want stamping to death, disemboweling and the eyes gouging out, the horrible clots of spaz.

    Fucked beyond naming.

    SHIT!

  • @DaveBTHunt Not a fan then?

  • @DaveBTHunt Calm down, dear!! It's only a TV show. Are you ILL?? Thought it was pure genius myeself! And VERY funny!! CLASSIC!!!

  • @StopFramEmotion Silence, charmless wretch! I curse these hideous and demonic sluts and their psychotic creators unto the very depths of Hell. Nothing more than vile, repugnant and gormless blank-eyed gimps, aimlessly jibbering foolishness in a sick masquerade of entertainment, all the while polluting the World with their tidal-wave of shit. They should have been publicly and terribly fucked in their rubber anus-holes and then burnt at a stake before a jeering crowd. FUCK the Terra-Whores!

  • @DaveBTHunt Yes; clearly ILL.....

  • @StopFramEmotion SILENCE, you beastly slut! Terra-Whore apologist! J'accuse! Your case in favour of these disgusting idiotic creations is merde! They were nothing but an appalling and sick joke. Fucking pewk-makingly revolting, stupid pieces of gurning latex cock-mongery. Thick as shit, gibbering their vapid knock-about foolishness and spouting nonsensical sci-fi bullshit as if gargling on pickled donkey's balls. These ugly fucking shits-stains. I'm glad they're finished with and rotting. Cunts.

  • @DaveBTHunt Need some pills much Zelda?

  • I used to have some toys

Had Sergeant Major Zero and some of the Zeroids. A couple of ships too

    Always wanted Hudson though

  • zelda scared the shit out of me as a kid

  • i have a few of the original Channal 5 VHS tapes of Cap Scarlet, Terrahawks, Supercar and of corse Thunderbirds. All shows i grew up watching the reruns of during the 90s and i still love them today.

  • the only episode i can remember is Hudson.. Ninestines Bentley being chaced by the police ..and Hudson changing colour to confuse them

  • When i was a kid i watched both programmes but i was more on terrahawks then the other 1, best puppets best cartoons 80s full of action and funny!

  • I love this show but it did get silly later on. I remember the Christmas episode was anyway!

  • @Gallifrey1991 The Xmas episode is my favourite! So sweet when the good guys dance with the bad guys. I think Operation Zero is probably the worst, that's too corny!

  • Seemed to spend my entire early childhood trying to build the Terrahawks ships out of Lego. they always turned out crap though lol

  • @thelegendofcarsley

I used to make hawkwing out of lego.....looked good as well.....Seems we think alike and did you used to do the whirlpool for hawkwing in the bath as well?

  • i loved Stew Dapples though!

  • I remember watching this on a saturday morning and a newflash scroll came up on the bottom of the screen saying something like:

The falkland islands have been invaded,

We are now at war with Argentina. :(

  • Somebody invent a time machine.....

  • i did fifty years from now.

  • Always thought the heads were too big

  • I just remember the game of naughts and crosses they played at the end. The baddies usually cheated. Oh, and I also remember Zelda giving me horrific nightmares.

  • Yeah, she was evil!...

  • Hell yeah, I was shit-scared of Zelda

  • fuck yeah! Zelda used to scare the living shit out of me as a kid!

  • Did anyone else notice the fanfare bit near the end of the theme - a nod to John Williams? Almost sounding like the opening bars to the Star Wars theme?

  • Definitely

  • Yeah i hear that on that video :-D

  • here comes jo wylie

  • sing after me "birds eye potato waffles are waffely versatile" mmmmm.

  • Saturday teatime in Norfolk, if you'd not been horrifically injured during the BMX race or football match you came in and watched this whilst eating your chicken nuggets.....

  • It was the same in Reading, if you hadn't been kidnapped whilst playing near the river. I would watch it eating fish fingers which had been blackened on one side.

  • I love these comments - I cry deep down - YNWA

  • For me, Terrahawks will always be synonymous with cold gravy and carrots cooked for so long that they have gone transparent.

  • Apart from Lt Hiro was the Terrahawks recruiting policy only to emply people with Bird related surnames?

  • Disgraceful bigoted bastids!

Shame on them all, I hope the Weaselthiel Centre hunted them down in their late 80's and tortured them to death after making thenm pay reparations to Zelda's family for eternity

A black day for humanity indeed :(

  • no they changed their names once recruited

  • This kid at school had a mother who looked like Zelda.

  • Sunday afternoons in the Midlands. Better than Thunderbirds? Get away with you!

  • Thanks for the posting....

    Brings back many good memories!

  • Didn't this used to be on Saturday mornings?

  • I want a sloppy blowjob from zelda

    OOOOO Thats NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • toothless..

  • Good gummy

  • Zelda used to put me off my sunday dinner after bullseye was on

  • i have been looking for this thing all my life, i just could not remember the tittle. thanks for uploading

  • Terrahawks was good but StarFleet was better!

  • QFT.

    Star Fleet was much better.

  • radiohazard: Thanks for agreeing with me. ;-)

  • Absolutely fuckin blinding!!

It's kid's shows like this that made the eighties such a privilege to grow up in.

    Fuck Thunderbird shit!

    Fuck Cuntface Captain Scarlet!!

    Terrahawks rules!!!

  • I agree with you 100% KLAbe81!

  • I agree totally I thought growing up in the 80's was a privilege too.

Terrahawks was one of my very favourite shows back then and it still is today.

I have every episode on dvd.

  • Loved this, always on a Sunday afternoon just before Bullseye, oh happy days.

  • along with captain scarlet this was the best stuff Gerry Anderson did

and is it just me or was 'tiger' just too cool for ninestein

  • OMG!..I loved Terrahawks! I always wanted to be Cpt. Kate Kestrel..Funky chick! Way better than Thunderbirds...This show was more dark and adult. Not so pristine and all goodie goodie like those bird people..lol..And Zelda and her gang! What a crew!

  • Yo man you speak volumes on that one. There were some dark things going on in that. Even the good guys were bad-ass go-getters against Zeldas Crew!

Remember that scene with the bogged-in vehicle? Hard-core stuff man!

  • Holy shit I'm 7 again. Somebody pinch me!!!

  • Capt. Mary Falconer was a MILF

  • This program used to scare me shitless

  • Me too, it was dark and dangerous somehow.

  • By the way, I wish there were more people like BlueberryLolly in the world!

  • I loved this as a kid! Most people I have met look blank if I mention it

  • dragonballxp i know excatly what you mean! zelda scared me shitless!

  • This show used to scare me shittless when i was younger and i dont know why but even watching it now i still get chills down my spine.

  • I've always loved Terrahawks much better than Chunderbirds. I'm a hawk-brain, not a bird-brain!

  • This was 'effin ACE! Glad I'm not alone in being scared shitless by the baddie lol!

  • Oh my god this brings back memories! Always scared of the main baddie as a kid though!!!

  • the first guy looks like Cliff Richard, Zelda looks like Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones, Lt Hiro is Quentin Tarrantino, Kate Kestral is Shirley Bassey and Mary Falconer is that woman who used to read the news.

  • You sir, are an absolute legend! Although I think Hiro looks more like Hiro from Heroes! Also Dr "Tiger" Ninestein looks like Scott Bakula!

  • legendary with a bowl of noodle doodles

  • zelda used to fuckin scare me to death man

  • Dr Ninestien looks like Scott Bakula

  • I love how the animation comes in on each beat.

  • Another classic from Gerry Anderson!

  • Yey!!!!! The balls against the cubes!

  • haha excellent stuff remember this growing up .

  • My god, synth ain't never sounded so good!

  • I agree - hands down, the scariest puppet ever created that Zelda. Scared me silly as a kid.

  • agreed 100%

  • agreed 1000% lol

  • Zelda used to terrify me

  • Class! Wipes the floor with Thunderbirds!

  • Well, I think Thunderbirds and Stingray were Anderson's best, but...

I remember watching Terrahawks as a kid, but I don't remember much about it other than the fact my dad and older sister used to love it.

  • And by saying it's far better is because of the advanced technonlogy effects, when they also didn't use strings anymore.

  • Oh and one thing, AirGuitarChampion, you are far too easily annoyed!

  • I've just recently watched a rented Terrahawks dvd, and Cy-star reminds me of Brenda Blethyn in 'Secrets and Lies', with that high pitched whiny voice! I keep expecting cy-star to go 'Rox-aaaannnne sweet-'arrrt darliiinnn', I'm only tryin to heeeelp youuuuuuuuu'! Hee hee hee

  • Can anyone remember the naff toy line that accompanied the series? None of the vehicles were in scale to each other, which was probably why they didn't sell so well.

Thinking about it, didn't they release a single by "kate kestrel"?

  • NEVER better than thunderbirds

    NEVER

  • Excuse me AirGuitar, Terrahawks IS better than Thunderbirds!

Thunderbirds is crap! I can't believe I actually used to like it!

  • people like you disgust me.

no amount of computer graphics can cover up the fact this is gerry anderson having a last ditch attempt to recreate the success he had with thunderbirds.

  • You disgust me. What a pathetic comment you've made! I have a right to entitle my opinion, thank you very much! I disagree Thunderbirds will get to that level Terrahawks is up at. Gerry Anderson's finest work was Terrahawks, in my opinion. Supermacromation was the first attempt of creation he came up with Terrahawks. And it was a hit.

Thunderbirds I just didn't like! Why are you critisizing me just for my personal opinion?

  • im not.

i told you MY personal opinion.

plus you stated an incorrect fact

more people know of thunderbirds than terrahawks

so come back and let me know when terrahawks becomes more famous than thunderbirds.

    good day to you, blueberrylolly.

  • Okay, you made your point. Let's not get into an argument. Maybe I started it by saying that Thunderbirds was rubbish. You are being too uptight, because if you didn't like Terrahawks, it's all a matter of opinions, and we are free to state what we say.

Terrahawks may not be AS famous, but that's because Thunderbirds was broadcast more. It doesn't mean it's popularity increases and is the biggest of Gerry Anderson's work.

Most people in a debt have claimed that Terrahawks is far better.

  • true very true, but it was quite good though

  • i think it was on sundays just after bullseye

    cant think of a time

  • In Granada region, Bullseye used to finish at 5.30pm on Sundays (often followed by Battlestar Galactica in late 83-early 84). So Terrahawks was probably on before Bullseye.

  • it used to be on Saturday afternoon on central TV

  • Can anyone tell me when this used to be on? I Remember it being on at the weekends (the fact that its made by LWT--London Weekend Television--points that out) but i cant really remember the day or time (I think it was Saturdays, but i'm not sure).

  • It was on Saturday morings although i can't give you an exact time but i would guess sometime between 9-11am

  • In the Granada region, I distinctly remember the first series being shown on a Sunday afternoon, around 2pm. Would have been late 1983. They used that same slot for Thunderbirds and Space 1999 repeats in the early 80s. I remember being incredibly bored watching the last 20mins of Brian Walden's political commentary waiting for Space 1999 to begin.

  • it would have been around mid-day Saturday - normally before Airwolf which was on about 1pm/2pm ish - depending which ITV region you lived in as shows weren't networked fully back then. Would have been 1983 to 86 ish

  • Mary Falconer was a MILF!

  • HAHAHAH! i bet you wish you could have puppet sex with her haha!

  • I love Terrahawks! One of my favouites! Could you please find some other episdoes rather than just the opening intro?

  • terrahawks rules. however, i have a few questions. why was the hawks nest in columbia of all places?? hmmm, maybe becuase there is lots of cocaine there & they washed it up to make crack. do you reackon that is why zelda wanted to attack the hawks nest so much?? i mean zelda was a crack head after all. wasn't she?? well she damn well looks & acts like one.

  • I think they had to build their base in Columbia because Tracy Island was already occupied.

  • lol

  • Don't all shout at me at once, but was Kate Kestrel the first black character to be featured in a Gerry Anderson puppet series?

  • If I'm not wrong, there are one black character on Capitain Scarlet and the Mysterons...

  • lt. green?

  • man thanx 4 this vid!!take's me bk lol!!love it!!!:->

  • I love all these puppet shows they are so cheesy

  • Well I preferred this to Thunderbirds, but for me Star Fleet was the king!

  • I would say its better than Thunderbirds no way it was good. I think the crafts were equivelent to TB's vehicles in some ways eg: Hawkwing to TB1, Battlehawk to TB2, Treehawk to TB3, Terrahawk to TB4 and Spacehawk to TB5. Don't you agree?

  • Of course they bloody were! I think Mr Anderson wanted to make Thunderbirds for a new generation; he knew the kids of the 80s probably wouldn't watch Tb cos their mums and dads liked it!

  • I remember the show itself not being that great, but the theme fucking rocks. Pretty much all Gerry Anderson shows had rocking themes.

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • i managed to get a copy of this on vynal when it was on tv, used to freak out college mates doing compilation tapes and slipping the "terra hawks this is an emergency" bit in the middle of a track when they were "under the influence"
