That's the perfect one to do it on. My dad got one not too long ago and he has Mac OS X, Ubuntu, Windows Vista, and he FINALLY put Windows 7 on it. They all run like a charm. I say go for it.

Oh! Sorry. He has the Acer Aspire. And yes, his WiFi works perfectly without any hassle on all 3 opperating systems.

I love it! Took awhile though, I'm on older hardware and I've been through 3 distro's to get it to work.

I used XxX 10.5.6 - Works flawless, and performs very well.
