thank u TechSkills, this really works very well for me and it I learned a lot from u, btw I'm a student here in STI Philippines and taking 2 years Computer & Electronics Technology, thank u Sir!
Very well explained. You should come down to my College and teach some classes here. We really need peope to explain very clear like you do! Props man!!!
The case will support a specific type or types of MB. Most cases will have markings on the case holes to indicate which type/types of MBs are supported. You also need to measure the MB dimensions to make sure it will fit inside the case. Most ATX cases will fit most ATX MBs, but it pays to double check first.
You use anti-static protection so you do not ruin your components with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
If you want to reuse some components, such as your power supply, RAM, CPU, you would get a motherboard that supports these components. Otherwise you would have to replace not only the motherboard but these components as well.
Thanks. Very Helpful. In Need of this Study Guide.

I think the best way to learn is to pick up some old computers and look inside them.
I bought 2 older P4's the other day for $10.00. One had a few parts missing but I was able to get both working.
