  • Oh my God...is that a studio??

  • your tuning and timing is all out, mutton dressed as lamb as far as i'm concerned

  • @macca0285 0:14 fuckers smoking

  • 0:14 aaaaah of course.....

  • I want that outfit.. :(

  • I want that putfit ;(

  • what place is this?

  • @draggydrugs up north somewhere, prob outside inverness somewhere like that

  • ness lake?

  • the tune dark isle

  • scotland is amaizing i was there wen i was 12 yrsld! is really beautiful

  • It must be im smowhere of lake district......

  • I guess u have to be a Scot to wear a Kilt with no underwear in a Siberian Temperature Combatible System...

    Spirits may also help...

  • Oh I know that very well, cold and piping do not mix. Been there done that, got the cold fingers.....still he is doing a grat job. SCOT WHA HAE!!!!!

  • I know this guy, hes a friend of my gramps. Infact amazing piper he taught me tp play 4 years ago :)

  • Oh, Scotland

    Y U SO BEAUTIFUL?

  • Any man who pipes his home lands tune is a hero.

  • First the reed;Even a good reed not set right makes tuning impossible. It's hard enough learning to tune w/out wind and cold. You can't really teach yourself piping. Now the "genius pipers":If you can't encourage shut up! unless you can help the person instead of being nasty, shove your bass drone up the butt of your band members 'till you all form a circle, pick a cliff and JUMP!

  • Not realy a good piper. He plays Scotland the brave not in a same riddm and the high a sounds realy bad

  • Es hermoso

  • you were so lucky to see the piper ,iwas looking out but never seen one beautifully shot ,couldnt get much better , that would have made my holiday ,xx

  • regarder bien tout ses fantômes qui sorte du lac

  • I've noticed that even when the weather is horrifying the pipes carry strong and clear for miles.

Koodous to sir you play very well.

    Greeting from Ireland.

  • how could he breath

  • @klorenzenvonmer you breath in a bag, you press the air out of the bag, meanwhile you breath in some air and breath out in the bag :)

  • it's the weather in scotland... but...still scotland 4 ever!!! hugs

  • I don't know what everybody's talking about with that Great Sound of the pipes en that great piper i've seen him play also that year only a few mounths later and he sounded the same, and iff we are going to talk about weather? i play pipes now for 3 years and i'm not saying i'm a great piper but i know how pipes are sounding and this is far from it.

I'm from Holland and we also have bad weather and sure it will fuck up yourre tuning but a good piper knows how to get into tune any time.

  • glencoe fuckin go yersel

  • ok..

  • how did they come up with such an amazing, complicated and perfect sound instrument!!

    scottland kicks ASS

They can use a skirt and still look way more manly than the jonas brothers xD

  • @Silverballer45ACP I could be wrong, but I think the bagpipes were invented in the middle east, and they came to scotland through trade overtime

  • beautifully done perfect theme and song

  • i'm sorry, i refuse to belive that is scotland, its not raining :P

    awesome piper tho

  • @dougski12 I'm in Scotland right now and it's 12 degrees, some clouds, not hot, not cold and not training.

  • @truefalse I was making a joke, i know scotland can be lovely at times, and utterly foul as well

  • @dougski12 I'm surprised you didn't notice the fact it's not 'training' ha ha

  • A lot of amateur pipers never develop an ear for the true tone a bagpipe should make and steady blowing to maintain that tone takes hours of practice every day. It could be the cold flattening the chanters high hand and putting the drones out of tune.

  • Beautiful landscape and beautiful bagpipe sound also!!!

    I love scotland!!!!

  • Hey I live round bout there I live in a place called glencoe

  • stick to fingering yourself thats some way to speak to some one i gather you stay in ardrossan as well ?

  • i have played the pipes for a few years now i would think i got to a good standard . the guys timing is of and some of his movements are not open .if you guys think he is good and just the cold weather makes him sound terrible you havent a clue about piping . like i said before i have been 5 feet way from him in the summer and he sounded just the same .. he has the foundation to improve if he got rid of the bad habbits and go and get lessons of some one

  • the guy is english and stays in scotland lol that says it all

  • @weejoke1 America could destroy England in two seconds and im siding with Scotland since we can relate

  • @MrAmericaRules You couldn't even destroy Vietnam - a third world country back then. No one over-estimates themselves more than the Americans.

  • @whitbyjet65 Nothing bothers me more than idiots talking about history .

  • @MrAmericaRules But America owes more than it's GDP to China and Korea, not to mention Japan and India

  • @MrAmericaRules lol..you don't have a clue, the UK and the USA (2 parts of the 3 cites control grid, the 3rd being the Vatican) are owned by the same Zionist families and they are about to be bother merged along with the rest of the world under one control system, WAKE UP

  • what an awesome picture.

i love scotland, was there last year - what an unforgettable journey through the high-and midlands :D

  • the guy cant play a full tune his timming is all out and all his doublings and runs are terrible he is a Embarrassment to pipers all over the world but i take my hat of to him the tourists think he is brilliant because he is wearing the full kit he needs to get it dry cleaned it is very tacky .the cold weather does make the pipes sound terrible he also makes them terrible to. i have been 5 feet away from in the middle of the summer and he sound the same .

  • @weejoke1 If you can do better get your wee arse over and do it better yur cunt.

  • The scenery is sick as f*ck. So surreal.

  • Is he one of the famous MacDonald pipers, awesome sound.

  • He is playing the song known as The Dark Island. Other than that great video with a wonderful landscape.

  • @AesirThor84 He is not singing any "Songs" he is tring to play the pipes and making a poor show of it!!

Guy should do us a favour and take this off u tube, it's been for years and it doen't improve with age.

  • @milemuncherbiker Search the song The Dark Island with Bagpipes. It IS a song.

  • @AesirThor84 Yeh but he aint singing!! you see songs are sung ie with human voice it isn't a hard conceept while tunes are "PLAYED" in this case very badly. So to summerise tunes - played, songs - sung and yes there are "tunes" whach are also sung - got it??

    Rgds

    M

  • Ive been there, At that spot, 2 weeks ago; lol XD

  • way out of tune. crossing noises. just sounds like shit basically.

  • poor fucker the wind was his enemy... still a great performance.

it being overcast too, tons of moisture in the air.

  • @brokenchanter

    No you dont!!

    Try to be better.

  • Der Typ ist genial... kann das sein das er Gummistiefel an hat? Super geile Aussicht auf die Landschaft im Hintergrund!

  • This guy plays there every year I visit, in one of the most beautiful spots in Scotland. When I hear him on arriving, it lifts my spirit and when I leave he makes it all the harder. He keeps a wonderful tradition alive and going and I hope I will have the opportunity to see him for many more years to come.

  • top top^top top lanscape....

  • Ah, the home country. I need to go back. It's a pity he can't get that high note out.

  • @GetFolkedBand Its called a crow. And some pipers enjoy it, say its the natural sound.

  • in my country(Romania) in Neamtz region, the landscape is more beautiful than in tis video.visit my country!!!respect fot this guy!!!he plays wery well at baggipe.he

  • hes cold and tired, at least his not stacking shelves or fliping burgers,

  • Beautiful video! If only there wasn't the noise of wind on mic, could be perfect!

  • This is probably the most beautiful video I ever watched on youtube. The landscape is just amazing the song is incredible. Good thoughts from Brazil! Bye

  • Before I move to Scotland I'll study Gaelic & how to play bagpipes. :^)

  • ΗΕRO!!!!

  • That man is so die as a chick

Hello I playing on my bagpipe in the middle of nowhere.

  • I wont diss this either as i play and instruct the pipes.. but the Dark Isle is an Irish tune, but this looks like parts of Perth.

  • @ruyguy8888 dark Isle is Scottsh! Learn what you teach!

  • @iainmmelvin

Yes, you are correct, my appologies. Iain McLachlan's tune, however i dont remember what year, im guessing 1958, written as an air... however some of my books show this tune written in 1963.

  • @ruyguy8888 apologies for my abruptness!

  • This guy is awesome, is he a famouse bagpiper of scotland?

  • you could have made such an epic shot of that bagpipe player with that beautiful landscape in the backround, but no..

you prevered to film it with a car, a street, a pot of money on a little ladder.

    i cant beliefe it

  • awesome place to stand and play the bagpipes :D

  • right now the perfect moment ! Landscape and music are powerfull

  • I'm not going to diss this. At least I could recognize a tune somewhere in there, plus it's really difficult to play the bagpipes. However I do agree with most of you, he does need piping lessons. On the other hand I bet the wind was really annoying. xD

  • thats probably the best setting in the world to play the bagpipes !!!! Alba !

  • Fantastic !!!

  • He's sure dressed to impress, too bad his skills don't match his level of commitment haha

  • thats wrong!

  • this guy is a pure genious..he does not know one note of bagpipe. and i bet he made so much money!!

    close your mouth

    stop your kind of languge

    respect and conscience

  • @Adro407

Hate to tell ya...he hit every note the right way!! Cold and wind will screw the reeds and make aweful sounds...obviously, you know nothing about piping~~~stick to fingering yourself~~~

  • @derekby1 Do you really think he "hit every note the right way"????

    Rds,

    M

  • @derekby1 well i dont know anything about the pipes either.only one thing i love the sound of it.dont you?

  • @Adro407 watcha talkin shit bout

  • the drones

  • Awesome...

  • please three things to say first delete this video (it's awful)

    second go to pipeclass

and last of al take new shoes and a better tune

  • Notice how empty his tip jar is!!! This dude needs major piping lessons!!!

  • amazing scenery!!!

  • COme on it's time to remove this video it's been here for nearly three years and the playing doen't get any better! This "PIPER"?? is not a good embassador for ether piping or Scotland, It is almost fraudulent to ask for money for that standard of playing and should be embarrased for doing so. I don't mind busking but lets try and give them something half decent for their money.

  • Awful, it is absolute torture!!!

  • Making a fortune of the tourists good on him!!

  • lol look the shoes! that's mc fly's shoes in "back to the future"! no?

  • best advertisement for using synthetic reeds

    :)

  • To the make of a piper, goes 7 years......

  • i need to visit the motherland some day. just breathtaking

  • bravo!

  • n'altro po' e volava quello

  • yeahhhhhh you are metal man my friends:)) go go gooo

  • it's cold or his reeds are all to hell

  • @IrishLincoln it's not cold . the wind is 400mph. we call it a light breeze.

  • probably a little of both. its cold and his reeds probably arn't the greatest. and it sounds like his drones are out of tune possibly.

  • He is robbing these poor tourists....!! he can play diddly squat..!!

  • Beautiful landscape !

  • @TheFatalRock Did you notice? There's a guy standing in front of the beautiful landscape, and he's making an awful lot of noise.

  • @MonokelJohn Just about right take out "lot of" immediatly before noise and you have it.

  • very nice the wind on the mic. was a bit distracting.

  • @jimmyshitbags

I allow myself to clear your doubts: snotty-ass Americans, or anyone who just played a bagpipe at least once, will tell any unknown bagpiper on youtube to be "shit".

If you're a true Scotsman or you just like this bagpiping, then it's "good". :-)

  • ok, i dont play bagpipes, but i know when a piper is playing them good or not, this guy isnt a piper, he is a massacerer to the bagpipes

  • the scenery looks totally bad ass, though.

  • You tourists crack me up

  • I've Seen this guy play!

  • My condolences.

  • This post was awful 2 years ago - it's stll bag. Why can't he repost and show us how he has improved. This guy is not a good example of piping !!

  • What is the first tune??

  • the dark castle.....I think

  • thank you

  • i think it might called be The Dark Island... either way, it wasn't very good

  • it is

  • it is called The Dark Island

  • TUNE THAT DAMND THING

  • Las gaitas escocesas lo mas maravilloso que hay, llenas de sentimientos y con ese fondo de las llanuras de escocia, que maravilla !!! desde ARGENTINA !!!

  • Las gaitas escocesas lo mas maravilloso q

  • no, he is not wearing his undergarment. That's why he couldn't play well, he feel cold undernearth.

  • play amazing grace on the bag pips and I will literally cry.

  • How many pipers does it take to change a light bulb? 5 one to do the work and 4 to criticize his fingering.

  • excellent sound, no way is terrible. Beautiful landscape

  • Yeah, he's a bit pants alright. He shouldn't be playing with his chanter so out of tune. He needs to spend some time at the piping college in Glasgow. He shouldn't be playing in public for money without passing their exams, just to ensure he's of good enough standard. I'm an Uilleann piper in Ireland so I have some idea what I'm on about. You could blame the wind and the weather a little bit but as GHB's use wet reeds as opposed to dry reeds in Uilleann pipes, it's no excuse.

  • He's crap and shouldn't be busking but the college of piping does not have a monopoly on good piping.

  • this sounds terrible

  • fucking awful

  • ye loool xD

  • i live in scotland

  • Have a look at his foot trying to kep the beat. Timing is way out, all embelishments played badly or not at all. He is terrible, and he has got a cheek standing there wanting money for this display of crap. He IS a disgrace !!!

  • Is this a car park at Glencoe?

My folks told me abbout a guy playing there who played terrible and was out of tune. Wonder if its the same guy?

  • It is a car park just before Glencoe, it will be the same guy.

  • How bad is this going to get? Now a Pole commenting on bagpiping...lol I think the point ghost is trying to make is that this guy charges people to listen to him. Had he given this to charity then there would have been no problem. It goes straight into his pocket along with his unemployent benefit. Is this right? How much would you pay to listen to him? Not a lot I think judging by the queues of poles in the supermarkets looking for near sell by dated food !!!

  • he should charge people to get him to stop

  • i think i know this guy, is he a gold medal winner? frigin awesome dude

  • i now theres a reason the Irish Snare and Pipe bands are the best in the world.

  • sounds like the theme song for braveheart

  • Bagpipe - most beautiful instrument ever.

  • I think Scotland just went....thats no a Scott on the pipes much like white people playing blues guitar in Chicago...Its a nice tribute but...no

  • la cornemuse est écossaise mais pas celui qui la torture ! ! !

à ses pieds, le panneau indique: "je suis sourd".

  • hahahah, per quato ho potuto capire mi ha tirato su di umore :).

  • beautiful and couldn't be a more stunning background as well. I miss Scottland

  • 2 types of people in the world. People who are Scottish like me and People who wants to be
