  • listen to that amp hum........ I love it

  • Awesome song!

  • Thank you for posting this. It is and always will be my favorite song. I can not explain why............................but it sums up my life.

  • Making a V with your fingers? That works, but the TRUE symbol of peace will always be the White Dove. People who think you can protect the world by fighting are deluding themselves. Only by being like a White Dove can you protect the future, peaceful and free.

  • @Luxai Hope those drugs are treating you well lol

  • @thatsnoob2u Please don't bring me down to your level.

  • @Luxai What's my level, exactly? Real life?

  • @thatsnoob2u Please, don't try to bring yourself up to my level.

  • good video man.. love rick medlock - he was one of my hero's in the late 70's.

saw blackfoot in orlando in '79 i believe. they did a Skynyrd tribute. i didn't realize at the time that there was any connection

  • Great song, not so known from Lynyrd Skynyrd. From First and Last. I think it is Rickey Medlocke singing who was part of the band on early days. Thank you!

  • Thanks for writing this song Rickey. It really changed my life,

  • Thank You All For Listening : )

  • @rockinthecozmos Jesus, I havent heard this song for a lifetime!!! Thank You.

  • Thanks For Listening : )

  • Not to be morbid, but I'm having this played at my funeral

  • заебись

  • Reall beauty

  • This is my favorite song in the whole world.

  • this was one of the songs that ya didn't hear on radio from the Skyns. one for the fanbase. great vid too.

  • Exquisite.

  • Thanks for making this video. It is very nice. This song has a special in my heart. I no longer own the record, but I come to your video and listen about once a month.

    Thanks again.

  • 3 FUCKIN DISLIKES YOU MAD PEOPLE

  • One of the most haunting songs Ive heard. Ricky nails it.

  • You did good work in creating this video

  • God that guitar solo after the first verse is so moving! Always loved this song!

RIP Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, Allen, Leon, Billy.

  • @centuryrox i was gonna say, that solo is beautiful! It was Gary wasn't it?

  • Havent heard this in years...AWESOME ! Many don't even know this song exists :)

  • hey i saw two white doves this morning at 8:00 o'clock...on the dock...they were moving in beautiful patterns...i felt something in my spirit...then they dissappeard...i heard a voice "it said a change is coming" what does that mean... i started crying cause i felt like jesus was talking to me...im going through some stuff.but when i saw the doves and heard the voice... icould feel so much love and peace... what does that mean? please help....

  • @victoriaha01 If you ask me, they are the representives of peace and freedom. See it this way... If angels there are then I think their earthly form is white doves. And for a good reason.

  • Beautiful song sung by Rickey Medlocke, one of the GREATEST vocalists in the world. Love you Rickey. BLESS

    Rajesh Semrete Selassie Aggarwal FRSA

  • this is off muscle shoals great tune..

  • Boy does this song bring back lots of memories. Don't guess I've heard this song in about 30 yrs now.

  • @williamroddy Let's put it this way. Last time I heard this song, it was on my 8-track.

  • hello frienz! good video! !!!! volo dei colombi - fly of dove- on my channel with cover of frozen!! i hope you like it :-)

  • awesome song if not a skynyrd freak you wont know this song or all the other great stuff they did but never hear on the radio im a skynyrd freak from when they started and for me they are the BEST SOUTHERN ROCKERS PERIOD. SO FIND THE GOOD STUFF LIISTEN AND ENJOY RIP RONNY AND THE REST WHO WERE LAID TO REST TO EARLY WE STILL LOVE YA

  • Nah sung by Ricky Medlocke ! This is off First and Last compilation, an excellent record and has some of the best songs the band ever did including some unreleased material. Ricky Medlocke was the bands first drummer but quit in 1970. The album is serious kick-arse and a must have for Skynyrd fans. Blood sad all the tragedy this band faced, and wish Ronnie was around, I'm sure he would have a lot to say about our world and the fucked up state it is in these days.

  • I do believe this is my favorite skynyrd tune and can only find it on the mussel shoals album...they should of played it more, although if they had it would of main streamed and it would of been played to hell....

  • What year is this?

  • @stevehauk

    From 1971.

  • I had almost forgotten this gem, Thanx for posting!

  • Very nice...

  • Great song!!!

  • Thanks - I love this song.

  • to be honest gary alen and ronnie and rickey wrote this song b4 freebird was thought of and this song wuz going to be caled free bird so yes indeed you are listening to the true "Free Bird"

  • @getargod24 - lol no they didn't. Rickey wrote this song front to back...start to finish. the beginning of free bird was how it was at the start until fans wanted more....they added the solo part then. UNTIL you know what you're talking about, don't make statements trying to mislead people.

  • This Is Rickey Medlocke !!

    White Dove !!

    Not FreeBird !!

Free Bird Was Written By Ronnie Van Zant !!

    Thank You Spawn : )

I'm Gettin' Tired Of All The Bitchin'

Just Enjoy The Tune : )

    Coz

  • First and Last is one of my favorite albums.Awesome!

  • I See A Lot Of BITCHING About Formalities!

    I Created This Video.

    Formalities Aside. I Did Good!

If Ya Don't Like It, Make Your Own!

    And Quit Bitching At Me!

  • @rockinthecozmos - i see nothing wrong with your video....just for the record.

  • @rockinthecozmos: You got the music out there and ultimately that is what it's all about.

  • @rockinthecozmos you sure got that right! great post of a beautiful song love LS

  • @rockinthecozmos

    You did great.

    Thank you!

  • зайебиста песня, я имею надежду, что таких будут больше творить :) но группа еще существует ?

  • The poster at the end shows later Skynyrd band. Ricky's not even in the picture? Should have used the album cover it's from. Greg Walker from Blackfoot is also on that disc playing bass.

  • THIS IS SKYNYRD...ITS JUST RICKY MEDLOCK SINGING! its on a skynyrd record called "skynyrds fist...and last"

  • ricky was an original member of skynyrd actualyl.

  • I had no idea that Ricky Medlock could sing like this. imo it is a pretty song. Mixture of country, bluegrass and a style of it's own.

  • I have never heard this. I have never heard of that cd. What I have missed!!! Thanks Jan!!

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd White Dove is a beauty, ther a treasure.

  • Nice realy nice song. Good pit too

  • Blessings to Ricky Medlock...One of my Favourite Vocalist of all time. Love You Rick

  • i recently heard the Ricky just left SkYNYRD, now hopefully he can get BLACKFOOT rocking!

  • Not a typical Lynyrd song, but still a classic.

  • Seems like Skynyrd thought so.

  • Excuse me thuis song is on 1 of the last albums put out from the original line up of Skynrd affer the plane crash Iyt was realeased after Street Survivors n & before the band came back out with Johny

  • Excuse me, but "Skynyrd's First and... Last." was released by M.C.A. in the year of 1978 but the songs on the album were all recorded before 1973.

  • You touched my soul Mr. Medlocke

  • one of the best by some of the best

  • nice song, my dad loves this and all other rock songs
