Remember this is just a movie. Don't take it so seriously. This came out in 1949 and released again in the 50's. It doesn't hold true to the Bible. It says that Samson was in love with a woman Delilah, who was asked to find out where he got his power from. Go to the book of Judges and find the story.

After all, from what I gather, Lord of the rings is drawn from a kind of mythology as old as the bible stories too.
