Well, in her song she sings about the disaster the human kind has done so far, and, as we all know, beside the first two World Wars, one of the disasters done by human hand is the explosion from Chernobyl. Imagine how many lives met an end there. Plus, I believe it's a really good scene that fits the song. Really touched my heart. I couldn't help not to cry at the end.
